WTB Canadian Seat Belt Timer

Post by Legacy777 »

I'm looking for the seat belt timer that is found on the Canadian cars. I need one to keep the key chime working when I remove the automatic seat belt timer computer.

It is located in figure 66-5 in this diagram.

Thanks

You WANT the chime to work? I disconnected it under my kick panel so it would shut up already...

It's hard to tell from the diagram - can the Seatbelt Timer be removed on it's own apart from the Turn Signal and Illumination harnesses? If so I guess I could take mine out of my car and give it to you. I don't want the chiming back, ever.

It is far below freezing these days, so trips to the junk yard are not very enticing....

Yes I want the chime to work. The chime didn't work on the nissan truck I had and I ended up locking my keys in the car on one or two occasions. It's not a normal occurance by any means, but I'd just prefer to have it.

I would think the seatbelt timer can be removed separately. I would also like to have the connector with some pigtails of wire on it if possible. If you don't want to cut the harness, I understand.

If that's the case, can you take a picture of the connector and measure the size. There's bound to be a similar connector I can snag off the spare harness I have.

Thanks
Josh

I'm going to try and do some testing this afternoon and see if I can trick the US computer. If I can do that, I shouldn't have to monkey with swapping the seat belt timer. I'll let everyone know how it goes.
