Replaced my vac line with the nylon stuff, it honestly fit inside the vac line i was using. And im running a different gauge as well.

It reads the same as it did before. Still flutters on boost and flutters a little at idle during vac. grrrr!

Messed around with RevScan for the first time today (thanks bsod2600) this is what I ran, alot of stuff I know.

Anything look off??

Why is the Octane Factor at 100%? I ran a datalog on another Legacy SS and the octane factor was at -1%

i had a dual vent blitz that i really liked but it didnt make the whistle, so i traded it for the hks ssqv that whistles but flutters. i take that blitz back in a heart beat.

yes that vacuum line controls the opening/closing of the vent.

-1 indicates a octane factor of 0 which means there is alot of knock being detected. Therefore performance is detuned including boost. Make sure the wiring looking good near the sensor and the sensor itself is newish and not cracked. With my car I lined the old wire with high temp RTV since it insulates. So far my car has been good with no knock issues.

Thanks, I'll let matt know..infact I think he has a CEL for the knock sensor.

But my car was the one with 100% octane factor, is that good?

wow really? the car is running better than it ever has right now. It did have the knock sensor CEL come up, but i cleared them about a week ago and it hasnt come back. I will certainly look at the knock sensor though and see if it looks cracked or if the wiring is frayed or something. The codes that did come up when we check them yesterday were:
24: Idle Air Control Valve- makes sense, the car idles like crap sometimes, and just fine other times, probably just needs cleaning. I am gonna wait til I do my turbo swap to do this, cuz I dont wanna end up breaking any of those lines.
35: Canister Purge Solenoid Valve.... ive been told this won't cause any issues to the car, as it is strictly emmissions related.
44: Wastegate control solenoid valve: Haven't had time to research this yet. I will look into replacing it, but what symptoms would it be causing?

The canister purge solenoid valve code can sometimes cause other codes not to clear. I would try getting a used one if not a new one, replace it, and then see what codes are stored.

K sounds good thanks josh. I'm curious why the knock sensor cel hasn't come back if it is obviously detecting knock with a -1 ocane factor

knock sensor doesn't display a code if it detects knock, only if the resistance values are out of spec for the sensor.

Or it there is a crazy amount of knocking... back when I had the TW, I got a CEL for a bit for the knock sensor that would randomly come on and off while driving. Turns out the bolt was so loose, the KS was flopping around on the bolt shaft. once tightened down, no more CEL.

As noted before, an octane factor of 100% is a very good thing.

I notice your battery voltage is low from the logs. Should be around 14V while the engine is on. Also notice from the logs that 11 parameters is far too many to really get a good idea what is going on, due to a full logging cycle taking ~2 seconds. 3-4 parameters is really tops to get a decent idea on how things are changing.

Well I have replaced the alternator, but it was with a used one from the local Junk Yard and the battery is New (and I think my lights and radio were on)

Only when the AC is on, would the voltage possible go that low. Otherwise, a sign of issues. aftermarket stereo, amp, sub, etc per chance?

ah ok, that makes sense. I picked up a new knock sensor tonight. and that will be going in tomorrow. hoping that will put my car back up to spec. Reading around, a faulty knock sensor retards the timing + ignition (probably very obvious to you guys), but that sounds like what is going on.

Hey guys, I replaced the knock sensor, and the car runs great! Only thing is..... Still at a -1 octane factor.... So what does that mean? Also we swapped my not-so-cracked intake pieces onto jordans car and it seemed to have helped with idle a little bit he said so that's a good start.
