New guy just saying hello...
I just wanted to say 'Hi".
No doubt some of you have seen me around over the years as an Impreza guy. But I just picked up a second car in the form of a very cherry 1994 BF5 Legacy Turbo Wagon. I figured if I was going to lurk for how to build my car, I should join up even though I would never want to belong to any group that would have me as a member.

Thanks. I am sure I will have questions, but for now I am doing a lot of searching. First mods are going to be a boost controller, TMIC and better exhaust... Don't know yet what works and what doesn't, so doing a lot of reading on specifics in the IC and Turbo forums...THAWA wrote:Welcome to the groupYou have any questions just ask

Thanks to all of you for the warm welcome. I know I have encounter a few of you over at Nasioc already, but it is good to be in Legacy only company.subyluvr2212 wrote:It makes me happy to see that more and more old Subarus are falling into the hands of owners that not only appreciate them, but also wind up on boards like this!Welcome!
I can't wait to start work on my Legacy. I am turning my 2.5RS into a race only vehicle and have actually stopped my build to be able to put some money into the Legacy. I am just going to park the RS for the winter and start modding the Legacy now.
I spent all of yesterday afternoon searching this site, but really would like to find out what vendors make a turbo back for my car. As best I can tell MRT and Scoobysport do. Who else should I consider? I am looking for a 2.5" set up. any thoughts or links would be appreciated.
I was also looking for opinions on boost controllers and couldn't find much. I was thinking manual just because of cost, but again, I am open to your thoughts and opinions...

C.E.S. makes a couple bolt on Legacy turbo TBE systems but they are 3" and pretty expensive www.msr-usa.com . Pretty much any WRX system can be made to fit. Rallitek said something about making some 2.75 TBE systems IIRC.
In terms of a MBC. Personally I run a Joe-p and it's pretty nice
( and cheap $40). Hallman makes a couple nice MBC's (from around $45-115). If you want a real nice one get a Turbo-XS HP.
