04 WRX TMIC

Im wondering if a 04 WRX TMIC is a direct bolt on? my buddy just picked a SS up this weekend. So we are newbs when it comes to the EJ22 motor lol.. help is appreciated! :-D

you have to pound on the firewall a little bit above the pitch stop, the 06-07 intercooler fits much easier, also you will have to work on the y pipe ibecause there's no actual y pipe made for a tmic to fit the 45 degree clocked vf11, unless you have a turbo to throw on there too, then you're good

cj is pretty much spot on from what I know. I have heard that few people have done the pre 06 TMICs without any hammering, but most people say they had to. I have an 06 TMIC on my car and there were no issues what-so-ever. Several threads on here on how to fab up the y-pipe. If your going to swap in a TD04 or other turbo, it would probably be much easier to wait and do them both at once

or just go fmic, it's a little bit more of a hassle, but much more effective than tmic

The car has a swapped TD04 with a v1 Intercooler.. So should it be easier to install? Im use to the EJ255 motor out of the 08 LGTs so im thinking since the TD04 swap was done than it should be simple to install..
