So basically move the Ftube around and make it fit as best as possible? the TBPS and the coils wires etc. i test fitted the TD05 and it looked like the Intercooling pipe was not even close o.O

Yes, move the f-tube so it clears the turbo and intercooler. It doesn't have the stay in the same orientation as OEM -- just as long as the lines go to their correct destinations as OEM.

As stated in the guide, you'll need to modify any Y-tubing you purchase to make it work with any 90* clocked turbo (td04, td05, vf39, etc) and our cars.

Coolant lines stayed in the same place.

I just installed that exact same kit, it works way better than the Perrin one I had before.

you really can't beat it for the price. but i would recommend getting a slightly longer piece of straight silicone it makes life alot easier .

I was looking at that y-pipe kit too, and if you have pictures of it installed to share, that would be great. I was thinking about this one, for a GC8 WRX? I found this style on eBay and it looks like the lower leg to the turbo is longer. That might be able to make up the extra length needed instead of the extra set of clamps and the metal pipe.

What do you guys think about that?

just got the kit today and I get what you mean by needing a longer piece. When i bolt the 2 pieces on the the 07 topmount they're offset so the short piece of piping won't really work.

What sizes are we talking for the 90 Degree bend and the 2" piece of silicone tubing 2 inch?

for the 90 degree bend I think you'll want a 1.75' to 2" reducer. For the 2" piece of silicone, you want 2"........

I don't see a 1.75" to 2" reducer. I see the 2.5" to the 1.75" thats about it on silicone intakes.

Thats only if yoire using the vf11 tho. If youre doing the td05 you dont need the 45 degree bend. Sorry, I should have been more accurate.

You just need the 02-05 y pipe kit and a small piece of 2" pipe. And longer piece of 2" silicone.

Bought a 2.25" 90 degree bend for the TD04. This is for where it connects to the factory intake. This the right size? Talking about the area circled in red off the turbo.

I see someone asked before but have not found any info on anyone trying the silicone y pipe for a GC8 wrx. Whether it would be 93-95 or 96-00? I looked up pictures of a 95-96 jdm wrx and it had the slanty intercooler and uses a similar manifold to the EJ22t so the distance of the throttle body and firewall looks to be the same. So, the distance from the turbo outlet and intercooler inlet would be right on but I have never seen a slanty intercooler to see how the y pipe matches up with it. So the question is, would a silicone y pipe meant for a jdm GC8 wrx work with a 06/07 wrx intercooler on an EJ22t with the TD05? I may have to purchase one to find out if no one else has tried it.

Wtdash and others tried that one. Worked good on the 02-05 tmic, the short silicone piece is horribly kinked on the 06-07. Unless they make an updated one specifically for your tmic i wouldnt bother.
