Rear Defrost MIA

Post by Rish »

Hi

Can anybody lead me to a wiring diagram of the rear defrost on these Lagacys? I did a few searches, all w/ negative results, and my Haynes manual is of no help either.

BTW, the thing doesn't even turn on (no light on the button) so after I checked the fuse, the only other thing I could think of was a relay (if the system has one)

Thanks,
Rish

Have you checked for voltage with the window NOT in the equation? (directly from lead to lead)

Then check resistance of the window with the car wiring not connected.

The rear defrost relay is above the fuse box in the passenger compartment. It's the one closest to the rear of the car.

Are you sure it's not as simple as the bulb in the button being burned out? Just because the indicator doesn't light up doesn't mean the defroster isn't working.
