11th 48hrs of Tristate Heads to Mid-Atlantic Jan 12-15

Post by Paisan »

It's that time of year again, when the Auto-x has quieted down, the Road Race Courses are closed, the Car Meets are finished for the year, and you are stuck at home with your Subie just itching to get out there and see other Subaru enthusiasts. Well luckily for you for the past 11 winters we have been holding The 48hrs of Tristate. This event has grown from a group of 5 cars raising about $1000 for World Trade Center Attack Victims in 2002 to our highest ever last year in 2010 where we had 60 cars registered and raised over $35,000 for The American Cancer Society.

This year we are heading to the Mid-Atlantic Area which is different than what we've done in the past to include more folks who have never had a chance to ride with us! So if you are in MD, DE, VA, WV, PA and NJ we'll be in your neck of the woods.

There is no "fee" other than the required Driver donation to The American Cancer Society (a tax writeoff too). We usually secure over $10,000 in door prizes from Subaru-oriented Vendors which we raffle off to registered participants (be they drivers, passengers, or folks who donate to ACS through our site who can't make the trip).

The route this year starts in Millville, NJ and ends in Woodbridge, NJ.
Jan 12- Check-in Dinner in Vineland/Milleville, NJ
Jan 13- Opening Breakfast at NJMP hosted by Subaru of America
Jan 14- Richmond to Winchester
Jan 14- Comic @ Raffle Dinner
Jan 15- Highways and Byways travel to Mach V Motorsports in Sterling, VA
Jan 15- Backroads and Highways to closing Dinner in Woodbridge, NJ

All the Details can be found at http://48hrs.info

The sooner you register, the sooner you can start helping raise money for The American Cancer Society.

The kickoff Breakfast as usual will be hosted by Subaru of America this year at NJ Motorsports Park! Photo shoot on track is also in the works.

On Friday afternoon we will be stopping on the first man-made island on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel heading south toward Virginia Beach.
For what you may ask? How about we keep our fingers crossed that Mother Nature doesn't interfere with us taking some AERIAL GROUP PHOTOS!

Saturday night during the Drawing Dinner we have Christian Lee, a comedian from the Virginia area, lined up to help us entertain you.

Sunday we have a tour of Mach V Motorsports!

Register with the American Cancer Society through our main page at http://48hrs.info
