Well from talk to the guys on Usmb they said some cars late model 1986 85 84 and older didn't get the bigger tunnel. I guess some how I got the bigger tunnel maybe for auto tranny.

Also I did shim the cross member with forester Xt shims subaru makes to get it a little better angle down more. I cut the shims to a inch thick for a better angle or else it still would have fit ok. Just a little safer now and I got lots of room up and down now.

I could shim the xt6 cross brace a bit but it sits perfect now.

You'll still probably some issues priming the system, but you should be able to get it going.

I've drained & filled my awic system several times, and every time I wish I would have put a bleeder screw on the top of the front exchanger :)

The problem is in how the lines going to the pump are filled. If you fill the system via the AWIC core coolant will flow down in the lines, both suction and discharge, and an air bubble will form. When this gets to the pump, a standard centrifugal pump will just not work unless it is self priming. What I did to try and eliminate this was just fill up the lower part of the AWIC system via one of the coolant lines. This helps minimize the chance of an air bubble forming.

Since you have your pump up high, the system may fill from the one side vs. both sides at the same time, which may eliminate the problem. You just have to give it a shot and see.

BTW, the car is looking amazing as always. That thing is going to be such a sleeper! I think the 4-pots with good pads should be plenty sufficient. The brembos & larger rotors are just going to add weight.

Yeah, if anything, you'll need to keep some sticky rubber on it to prevent it from locking up too much. Oh, and to use all that power to move rather than make smoke. I don't think brake fade would be a problem with so little weight, either. It's amazing how good that looks. It looks like you're building up a car that's only a few years old. I had two of the EA81s and I can say that even just 10 years took a real toll in corrosion, so I don't know how that looks so good. If you plan on driving it in the winter, I recommend undercoating the hell out of everything underneath.

He's up in Canada evolution. They don't use salt on the roads up there. No rust belt like we have in the states.

They don't use salt around here, either. They use sand, which is a lot better (I went to school in Detroit, so I could see the difference first hand as well as gain an appreciation for a state inspection process that I had seen as an annoyance until then), but still doesn't get along with steel. Undercoating with touch ups for whatever gets worn off every year and keeping it clean by blasting out the undercarriage frequently during snow season goes a long way. If they use something better than sand, I have another reason to think about moving to Canada.

This is the biggest and BEST suggestion to improve the corrosion longevity. The sand and dirt trap moisture against the body, which over time will promote rust and further corrosion.

Cleaning all that crap out regularly is very important. The 06 Legacy I had bought is a good example of that. I cleaned more crap out from the fenders....

Yeah, one trick I used was to blast the high pressure hose at the base of the fender behind the front wheels until the water coming out by the door stopped coming out with sand in it. I spent more time on the undercarriage and wheel wells than the top side and the car is in remarkably good shape rust-wise.

when i fill it up will see what happens, i hope it works out just perfect like how you say its up high but will see soon !

glad you like it and ya the brembos i think wont happen ill tray and take a pic for you to see what even 205/45/16 16x7 et 53 is so close the the swing arm in the rear !

i hope im not shredding the tires that much lets hope the awd of subaru helps out with that and the dccd set up i have.

it does look like a newer car with all these upgrades its still got nice lines !... no winter for this car at all its only coming out to race or a fun drive around in the summer. i been oil spraying everything as i go, might be adding allot of weight but i dont want it to rust at all.

i dont think you know how much salt ontario uses its gross !!! cars up here get destroyed little over one winter !! they are insane on the east... i hear in the west canada they use dirt !

I'd recommend running the tip out the inlet of the muffler.
It would be so much more sleeper without the 'turbo' stickers, but they look so good.

I think the Turbo stickers are great! Old school and the truth hiding in plain site. Most people would think it was the just the stock 115 HP unit. Or maybe it's a sheep from that awesome horror movie, Black Sheep or it's a wolf . . . with a laser gun . . . in a . . . forget it, I don't know what it's like, but it's great.

the muffler i think only works the right way.... i cant take the turbo stickers off its the factory ones, but it would make it more sleeper but im sure once they hear it it wont be to sleeper lol

LOL ..... ya stickers will stay on for sure. out side only rims and brakes will give it away and the mad rumble it will give off. also it will be very very low. i can tell all ready with the 16inch on in the rear its got no gap and it sits perfect inside with no rub at all.
