Gonna wash the wagon, put the stero and digi compass from the sedan in the wagon, and try to set up some sort of long distance light kit for the wagon as well. I might need something like that for I-90.

Just swapped in the silicone 90 for the POS hot water rubber 90 I was using. Do me a favor, and never buy a hot water heater 90 or the turbo inlet. You'll do like I do an choke more then half of the power band and then realize "oh, i should just have ordered a silicone 90" lol.

Didn't wash the wagon but I did get the stero and digi compass installed in it along with the amp and two subs I have and I got rid of the wind noise by simply clamping the mirror mounts together for a few seconds. So much quieter in the car now, only need the stero at ten instead on fifteen. I don't think I'm gonna make a light kit for the wagon, the headlights are actually pretty decent with 100/55w headlight bulbs.

Mine's that same green color. I'm not a huge

Just stock configuration.

Stock block and heads, VF-11, non-intercooled, 4EAT, full leather interior, 90 octane...

I wanted a baseline to compare to when I switch everything over.

Soon: TD05, STI yellows, 07 Intercooler, Rob tune ECU, and other supporting mods.

Did an oilchange (Rotella 10w30 - only comes in gallon bottles, so I have to buy 2 gallons every couple changes).

Put in some Subaru Extra-S in my tranny. Thanks Steven! Feels great, much better than the Walmart "Supertech" that I was using to clean all the rust and grime out (tranny was sitting for years with the drain plug open :(). I've also put the AndrewTech formula (3qt Redline lightweight shockproof, .7qt Motul) in another Subaru, and ran Redline in a high mileage toyota truck for years - and the extra-s feels as good as those. Guess I'll find out during the winter if there's any noticeable difference in gear changes or etc. Overall I'm happy, and it's as good so far as the Andrewtech/Redline while costing slightly less (if you have a hookup).

Put a 1st gen Power Steering Reservoir on my DOHC power steering pump. Thanks for the idea, Kimo. Now my hood closes all the way. :) I was reading that Josh put a spring from a turbo power steering pump, and that reduced power steering assist. How would I swap it/where is it/will it fit? I recently changed from the stock SS pump to this mid 90s DOHC Legacy pump, and the steering wheel feels ridiculously light now. Can't reuse the SS pump as the DOHC lines doesn't thread in.

Drove 8.5 hours to Coeud d'Alene yesterday. Wagon made it just fine, got 22.25 mpg with going over the pass. There are some fun looking roads over here, I really want to drive those roads and have some fun but I can't really leave on my own over here. I would probably get lost lol

I think I was going to do that, but did some research and there wasn't any difference. I still may tweak the existing spring by cutting one of the end coils off to reduce the overall force it exerts, but haven't really gotten that deep into things yet.

The spring is behind the little valve body on the discharge side of the pump. If you remove that big hex nut thing on the discharge side and pull the little valving out, the spring will be behind there.

Well. Installed the replacement passenger fender.. Its a slight upgrade over the previous one as the frontend looks a little bit better.

Driver side CV axle was replaced.. Never realized how easy it was on these cars. Click click click, goodbye.

Thanks Josh, I'll play around with my spares. If not the spring, what would make the SS pump provide less power assist, and how do I make my DOHC pump do the same?

I think the spring should do it. I'd like to take apart one of the newer pumps with the electrical connection. I think it does something in there to reduce assist at speed, but increases assist at parking speeds.

Do you have any spare springs you'd be willing to part with?

Sorry Josh, by spares, I mean my car's original 91 SS PS pump, and a 2nd gen legacy SOHC pump. Blackbart'd be the man to ask - saw he was on recently. :)

Crap that turned out good :D
Nice, smooth lines. Nothing out of place.
Good job!

I prefer the 90-91 over 92-94 any day.
Been thinking of getting that front end
for my green one.
