N/A Turbo EJ Oil Return line [Pics] Will this do?

Post by KristjanJohann »

Hi guys, so I'm doing a turbo conversion on my EJ22E and I've finished everything... however the oil drain is my only concern...

I welded a fitting in my oil pan for the return line. This was the best I could come up with.

As you can see in the first picture I got a 45°bend on there and it didn't fit...

So I got a straight one but it tilts a liiiiitle bit forward/down .... Do you guys think I can make it work with this one or do you think the oil won't return :o

Note that I didn't find any shorter 45° bends and the 90°bend wouldn't fit. I tried.

What are those fittings made for? I am not familiar with them. It looks to me that if you cut the 45 degree fitting down you could get a hose on there, assuming you don't need those two flanges. It also looks a little small for a return line. You want NO resistance to flow so typically you want a much larger return line.

Yeah, so I liked this idea and tried but it wouldn't fit. In the end I used this straight one and cut more then half of the tip and that seemed to work the best, I'll post some pics when I finish.
