1st gen. Subaru legacy meet in Seattle November 2012

Post by topsecret888 »

Hey guys and gals,
I'm trying to get a meet going for november 2012 around the Seattle area, with the emphasis on first gen subarus legacy, but of course the others are welcome to join. Fridays 9.30 pm is what i'm shooting for, so instead of going to the bars, movies, or what not, let's chill and hang out to check out our vintage legacys. Exchange ideas, talk cars and see whats up. Just get to meet new friends and bring your own snacks. Location? How bout the covered parking lot of Renton landing? Works for everyone? I'm shooting for NOV. 9. Anybody down for this, LMK! Or post your response here, so i know if ppl will show up or not.

I would bring my newly acquired Subie from Spokane if I had the gas. I picked it up from an auction. It's not perfect, but I will be making improvements starting in the spring. How do I post pics?

Hmm that's pretty short notice being 10 days away. Although I could probably make a 9:30pm meet as seattle is an hour and a half north of here and I get off work at 8pm but I'd only want to go if I knew a lot of people would be going or at least some people I've met before.

Ok, so far I'm seeing maybe a couple of ppl wanting to show up. I'm still keeping fingers crossed and hope we can all get a meet going. It doesn't have to be on the 9th but any Friday nights of the month would be cool. The emphasis is on vintage subarus, and by that i meant the older ones, call it classic if you want. SVX, XT coupe, first gen legacy, first gen impreza, that's what i'm talking abt. I'll be keeping an eye on this posting and see if more ppl response to participate. Cheers.

Not seeing much response here. So, no point to hold a meet for now. Maybe, we all wait till next summer then, lol?

I think it's not so much lack of interest than it was short notice. Bunch of locals on here have odd shifts.

I haven't specifically set any particular time and date as yet. I'm still trying to gauge whether there's enough interest here for ppl in the Pacific northwest to hold a meet. Anyone is welcome to give suggestions.

I think with the holidays happening, they may have an effect on meets. Maybe not. I'd be down for something tho, just depends on the date.

I think most ppl nowadays are preoccupied with their own things, so it's been quite lukewarm whenever somebody suggest any type of meet or drives. Perhaps we should wait until next summer then? LOL

Anyone in the Seattle area yearing for a meet/drive coming in December? We can perhaps organize a short drive up to the mountains to play with some snow and then head back town to get a burger and milkshake. Any better ideas?
