Which Walbro Fuel Pump Should I Get?

Post by scoobydoo94turbo »

Hey guys, i have a 94 legacy turbo with stock ej22t running MBC at 10psi. Im looking to upgrade the stock fuel pump and was wondering what people would recommend. I do plan on making more hp in the future so keep that in mind. I am currently looking at the GCA3342 which is a oem replacement for the legacy turbo. Feel free to share what pump you are running.

I'm running a Walbro 255 and saw noticeable throttle right away! The pump was off a 04 sti and still on the tank drop-in bracket when I bought it so I merged what I could to the stock Legacy drop-in. ...My gas gauge isn't working now but I should be able to work around that asap. Great upgrade for how easy the install is and performance added.

I agree with this! But being that I only paid $60 for my walbro used, I could not pass it up. Walbro work great but some die sooner than later, just a luck of the draw I guess with Walbro.

I've had three cars with a Walbro 255 and none have died yet, so I guess I've been lucky.
I hear the newer Walbro 255 have some quality issues that would make me second-guess buying another.
The one in my Camaro has been in for over 4 years and is still working. A month or two after I put it in, it inexplicably got much louder but hasn't seemed to lose any pumping ability, so I just went with it. :D

The GSS341 pump has been the pump that works along with the install kit.

The picture looks like it has everything you want, so Walbro may have just packaged it together and/or gave them new part #'s.
