Re: Legacycentral gathering Oct. 19-20
beatersubi,
What time were you planning for people to show up? I've got to be back in Everett around 5 or so on Saturday, so I'm really only coming for the first part of Saturday. But I wasn't sure when you were expecting people and didn't want to randomly just show up.
Also, will you pm me the address for the event? That'd be swell! Thanks!

Re: Legacycentral gathering Oct. 19-20
I think noon-ish is early enough that I'll probably be up and moving.
I'll PM the address with directions to those on the attendance list.
So, a week away... If anyone wants to bring anything that goes well with spaghetti or beer, that'd be great. Salad or bread-sticks your specialty? Great! Bring some.

I'll have some beer, but the more, the merrier.
Also, don't forget to bring any parts you want to hawk. This is a swap meet as well.

Re: Legacycentral gathering Oct. 19-20
Awesome! That makes me feel a bit better. ..im going to have to get rid of my 92 ss to save the 91 5mt for financial reasons. ...the 91 is too expensive to "save" without a big enough garage to learn how to rebuild my own engine in while the car is in there too. Parking situation at this townhouse makes this kind of the only option.
Anyway... i will have a rolling 4eat shell for sale in the very near future :'(

Re: Legacycentral gathering Oct. 19-20
I'll be bringing beer & chips. Trying to brainstorm parts I may bring.. I have an extra ecu/intake manifold/strut bar and some misc other stuff. I need a better 2.5-3" axle back.

Re: Legacycentral gathering Oct. 19-20
I'll just be bringing my spare parts boxes and probably my 16G and VF36 for everyone to check out. Not sure I've got anything you guys would be interested in that I'd actually want to sell...
The following weekend the engine swap is happening, and what the hell while it's out of there we're putting the twinscroll VF36 on the '91!
Hmm... I may need to swap to a VF11 wastegate. No idea what the VF36 wastegate diaphragm's boost level is... if it's above 9psi I can't even use stock boost control lol
But I'll be running it at first without an intercooler -- my absolute first step is to drive it home gently and hopefully not have to use it until I get the '92 shell sold and out of my garage, then I can pull the '91 in and figure out a front-mount intercooler and install a walbro pump.
I can't wait! Still a bit sad that I've got to sacrifice my '92 to do this but it'll end up better with only 2 cars to manage...

Re: Legacycentral gathering Oct. 19-20
I'm calling a last-minute audible.
Considering that it is October and the weather is supposed to be nice through the weekend: Oktoberfest beer 'n brats!
I'll provide the brats, you bring the beers and appetite for a good time.
If anyone prefers rabbit food, feel free to bring some.

Re: Legacycentral OKTOBERFEST Oct. 19-20
So like... whut kinda burrrs everyone like?
I don't mind Miller or Bud, not great but also cheap and plentiful and not too terrible (I end up with it a lot for one reason or another, so I'm quite used to it). I don't care for the aftertaste of Heineken, for example, but I'll drink it. Just no Natty Ice for me please.
Olde English would be interesting, it's been a loooong time.... but everyone's gotta be in the right mood for that stuff lol
I'll bring some of the most popular based on responses here before I leave tomorrow (probably 'round 10am or so, methinks)
...whatchew all think?

Best Legacycentral Oktoberfest ever!
It was good to see some old friends and make new ones. I hope everyone had as much fun as I did.
Thanks everyone for coming.
