Ten Years?!

Post by DLC »

Yes, last month marked ten years of the Legacy Central BBS.

Thanks to all of those who have come and gone, and especially Josh for being around a LOT more than I am.

I may not visit that often, but I know this community is still vibrant and enthusiastic. I'm pleased to help provide a place for owners to come learn about the cars and make acquaintances.

Who knows what will be in another ten years, but we all know the Legacy will still be around.

Definitely useful to have a site where every person knows and at least likes your type of car ..drop by drop of knowledge the pool gets bigger

Didn't the bbs get started in 2002?

Either way, it's been good learning and seeing the effort still being put into these cars. Despite being older, I think they remain one of Subaru's best built cars and sometimes most under-the-radar performance Subies. As a result, I think we'll continue to draw in new members that span different generations.

Yeah, I guess it was 2002, so it was eleven years, not ten.

How time flies.

Definitely the best forum on the web, the only one I really ever visit. I also have gained a vast amount of knowledge from here and had a lot of help, especially from Josh. I also wish I had known about the BBS sooner. The gen 1 Legacy's are by far my favorite model of Subaru. In my eyes, they helped put Subaru on the map as far as sporting and the standard of AWD turbo models.

I cannot tell you guys how much information and knowledge I have acquired from this board. We're a different breed, we're all here to help each other, we aren't snot nosed brats who have to be assholes to each other for asking a question or needing help!

Thanks to the admins and people who keep this site alive. I owe the BBS my interest in Subaru as a whole, without it who knows what i'd be driving... :D

-I've been here almost 5 years and would have to say, I probably would be driving something different if it wasn't for the BBS. Thanks!

I would never have bought my '92 SS, or known the joy of driving her, if this board and the resources available here didn't exist. Thanks to whoever the big Kahuna is around here. [emoji3]

Two years ago at the end of the month I bought my Legacy. Didn't know anything about it. Google soon landed me here and I did this as I perused the pages:

Couldn't believe what a cool car I had inadvertently stumbled upon. Long story short, I could change brake pads and change oil on a car and that was it before I purchased the tleg. Now I have acquired enough skills to keep this car running efficiently and I dare say it is running better than it ever has. I owe it all to this forum and those who freely hand out great knowledge. Thanks to all!
