Suggestions for 17" wheels that retain beater status
I'm looking to move to 17" wheels, aftermarket wheels, era correct, that don't put me in the category of $3,000.00 wheels on a $500.00 car. I've been told Slipstreams. I can't find them for sale new or used. Even Slipstreams might be a little too nice for beater status. Steelies with hubcaps might suffice until a suitable alloy catches my eye. Does anyone have any suggestions ?

Re: Suggestions for 17" wheels that retain beater status
I dunno, 17" wheels don't start out that cheap, and good rubber certainly isn't cheap. That's why I'm rocking 16's. I also can't really think of any period correct 17's?

The 17" msr wheels I had on my sedan were probably cheap. They look good on our white 93. Probably some pics in my build.

Re: Suggestions for 17" wheels that retain beater status
Those Rota Grids look sick and the DR31's too ! The first link of the Enkei's are cool, if they didn't have hub caps that cover the lugs, but they seem to be too modern. I'm cool with spending the cash. I'm just trying to retain "beater status." As for rubber, my rubber certainly won't be beater status. One thing for sure, the price is right on any of these wheels. I appreciate all the help. This is a non technical topic. Just looking for general opinions and insight. No wrong answers here. So, everyone feel free to chime in.

I just have take offs from a newer legacy. They were free.
