Getting wrx stuff :)

Post by Hinano »

My friend is parting out left over parts of a 04 wrx from his factory 5 818 build. The 818 is a whole norther story but for me, I get access to a bunch of parts at a great price. :)

My question is, what other interior bits from a 04 wrx will fit my 90?

I will be getting front and rear seats, carpet and steering wheel.

What about the speakers? Anything else?

Yes the interior will work. It's pretty much a quick change over, I did front and back in my 91. I'll have to post some pictures of what it looks like so you'll know.

Although I don't the door cards will work in the 90 but I could be wrong.

Sorry I meant don't think they work and styles is probably right the doors have changed designs too much to use them. But if you want I was thinking about parting out my 91 so if you're close you could come and pick mine up, for a possibly a little better door card.

That's cool never been to the big island, only Oahu my grandmother works for the airlines there. Lucky you doesn't have to deal with some of the conditions us main landers face.

OK, then my question is on topic in this thread. I have a 6-disc in dash CD Player from a 2005 WRX. (this should be compatible with the stereo in the 2004 WRX mentioned in this thread) I know what I need to do to hook it up electrically. (patch harness available here: http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/8664 ... vannot.jpg) However, what do I need to do physically to install it? I'm pretty sure I can figure it out, but I'll ask here if anybody has already done this, and can share your wisdom with us? For example, I have the factory stereo with the added on in-dash CD Player. What form factor is this? It seems to me that the radio is double din and the add on in-dash CD player is a single din size. So I will probably need the little pocket that goes under the radio.

the stock dash opening for the radio is a 2.5 din. the stock radio is 1.5 din and the add on cd changer is 1 din. if the cd changer is a double din then you need something to fill up that half din opening.
