Re: Lsd rear diff swap info???
Use 95-99 Legacy axles. Certain other axles will work too, but those seem the most findable, are the correct length, etc. You'll need to swap the input flange off your current diff onto the new one.

95-99 work for lsd rear?
Re: Lsd rear diff swap info???
95-99 outback legacy, the Brightion and L's has a different spline count. You are looking for these with the taper on the end:

Re: Lsd rear diff swap info???
Charles, i had a fxt rear end and 2nd gen legacy axles in my SS before I swapped back to the stock SS setup. Am i missing something? They worked fine, popped into the diff securely. The setup is now in my RS, though i reused the impreza axles there.
And Tatsturbo, the only time you need special axles for subaru LSD's is with Japanese mechanical or clutch type diffs. Or SVX rear ends (which is VLSD). The normal VLSD diffs use standard length axles.

Mike, I pull some axels out of an L legacy and tried to install them in my LGT rear end and wouldn't go.
