EJ25D Crank pulley...anything magic about it?

Post by WRXish »

Ok the back story is I am FINALLY getting my new engine tomorrow!!! Builder lost the crank pulley so I will have to provide one. Is it truly a harmonic balancer like some of the chevy engines use or is it just a pulley. Best source for aftermarket lightweight pulley? Many thanks in advance for help provided.

It's basically a pulley with a zero balance, any 2.2 or 2.5 pulley will work. I went on eBay and bought a lightweight one for mine like this one

This is what is going on my 200 chp n/a 2.5.

The stock pulley does have a rubber damper between the inner and outer part of the pulley. However the lightweight pullies don't really affect anything until you start getting up in horsepower.

But like Charles mentioned any 2.2 or 2.5 stock pulley will work, if you want to stick with the stock pulley.
