engine builder in Denver

Post by pabst90-ix »

Can anyone recommend a shop to reassemble an ej20k v3 sti? I've called around most won't touch a jdm block. I spent years compiling all the parts. Now I've got 2 kids and a 50hr work week and do not have the time to assemble the parts.

Possibly mofab in Parker.

I think the deterring part for most shops would be finding the correct specs for a jdm motor. The need of a F.S.M would be necessary. It might also depend on the extent of assembly. If it's just the short block, that's a relatively similar procedure across the board for ej's. The heads will add a level complexity.

Conifer machine shop(30min West of denver) not sure if they can help but you could give them a ring and ask. They mostly do machine work on subaru engines, but they also do fix and flip subaru engines so they are educated in assembly.
