Wheel Fitman Guide for 1991 Subaru Legacy with 5X114 Swap

Post by Blulian »

Good afternoon gentlemen, and maybe lady.

I am in the process of a complete driveline swap from a 2005 STI into my 1991 Subaru Legacy Sedan.

I am reaching out today because the wheel fitment guide I used was for STI and this was a bad idea.

I current have a 17X9 +40mm wheel on the car and it looks like a monster truck. (A LOT of Poke) clears just fine though.

If anyone would have a wheel fitment guide I would be greatly appreciate it.

I'm not 100% sure but I seem to recall that the STi had a wider track which is probably making the issue worse. other than looking for wheels with a higher offset I'm not sure what to say. How much room do you have between the tire and strut body?

Hello Josh, thanks for the response.

I think +48 would be good. I was really hoping that someone has fitted WIDE 16" wheels. I have AP calipers in the front so they will have to clear those. I know I could get a wheel fitment tool and use a little trial and error. But I know a lot of fellers have had this sort of thing figured out for years.
