Here she is: '92 L 5MT AWD 2.2NA.
The scoop: I found the car on eBay (!) on a lazy Saturday afternoon.

The seller disclosed the reserve price ($2,950) and the auction would end on Wednesday evening.
I got the VIN report and watched the auction for a couple of days; little activity, it was around $1,700 when I came back on Wednesday afternoon for a test drive: engine is powerful but quiet, brakes are strong, transmission is smooth, shifting is precise.
Ok, so now I want it!

Prepared as I was, I pull out a Kelley Blue Book printout showing a value of $2,500, haggle with the dealer a little and we meet in the middle: $2,725!

I didn't even have all the money. I give him a $500 deposit, sign the paperwork and he ends the auction on the spot.
I go back to work, print some "For Sale" signs and slap on all four sides of my battered '89 Toyota Pickup truck (single cab, 4x4, 5MT, rims, 30" tires, camper, Pioneer stereo and speakers, 180K miles, faded black, no AC, unpainted hood and left fender

Next day, Thursday, this hispanic guy who works at my job's warehouse offers me $1,500 for my truck (without even driving it!

On Friday (pay day), he gives me the cash, I add my paycheck, go back to the dealer and the rest is history!
