Hi guys, got a seriously rattling exhaust, heatshields and front catalytic monolith breaking up (I think). What do you think is the the most economical fix to do here? 91 Legacy n/a 4wd 138,000mi.
Also this thing refuses to pass emissions here, co is too high.

cut them off with a cutting tourch. Thats what i had anyway... Maybe a dremmel?

If they are your heat sheilds then you can also have them tac welded at muffler shops. I've done that a few times, but the problem eventually came back. After the third time I ended up getting them cut off.

I chopped, vise-gripped, and yanked on some of my heat shields and the rest I put large SS-bands around.
