yeah flate rate is awesome cause you are like "so my hourly wage is twice yours!" to all your friends... then you turn around and get like lets pick a nice round number... 23.6 hours  in an 80 hour week and have to work til 11;00 tuning skis for pocket change, at which point you go to someone else's house that you are watching to make an extra $8 a day for the next 2 weeks

what makes you think I am bitter?

Oh, see I worked flat rate as a mechanic. I was flagging at least 8 hours a day, and many days were 18 or above.

which dealership do you work at? I guess being in Wyoming, you don't have all that many subies. You seem to find more and more the farther north you go. I've worked at one independent subie shop, and now I work at the only dealership that doesnt suck in alaska. I'm in anchorage, and the one in Fairbanks blows, and the one in Juneau blows.

We are a split Subaru/ chevy/hummer dealership. We are small ,I am the third subaru tech, our "senior master tech" is that and only on paper. We don't see subaru's like colorado has them even though they are perfect for the stupid cold/icy/ snowy winters we get. The awesome thing about here is that the older cars even the clasic bodied imprezas haven't caught on yet- no one has a clue what a legacy is. My friend and I bought out legacy turbos for $400 and I have a handle on a new one ;-) 92 with 60,000 original miles and this one I wont part out!!

Ultimately our dealership sucks. We got our first 08 STi today. as far as service goes, I do everything I can to make my customers happy but once it leaves me, everyone else in the place screws up and my work goes right out the window.

Installed a few things saturday that have been sitting around for a while.

Here is my skid plate, i got from suby skids/critical motion... two years ago just before I blew the thing up. I had to do some drilling so I thought I would get it out of the way now. come to think of it, I got those control arms from the same guy. Oh and my new set of blizzaks that I bought for cheap last summer, when I thought I would actually get to drive this winter :(

Here are my buddies hella ff1000's We installed just to see. I think they will stay... he can find new lights

Pssst, just a freindly tip, but the wiring is suppose to go on the back side of the light, not the front.

:(

Major set back.

I finished the wiring saturday, sans one ground which I hope to take care of tonight.
THats the good news

Yesterday, i was awoken by the phone and some one asking my name and if i had a bank card. I said yes, and that I had it there with me. SHe asked if I had made various purchases from $50 to $300 yesterday morning. Nope not me.

Someone got ahold of my debit card number and charged about $750 worth of utter shit within a matter of minutes. THere was little over $300 in the account.

I now owe my bank about $400 and have to fill out paper work and wait for 45 days for the bnks investigators to prove that I actually didn't make purchases from ahwar.com and uk2.net. After 45 days I "might" get my money back.

that's bullshit!
tell them you dont even live in the uk.

what kinds of items were purchased?
because you could use that to your advantage by saying "YTF would i purchase that?, i would never buy that."

and compare that to your previous purchases on the debit card.

good luck man,

ok so I went back tonight and spoke with someone more knowledgable.

Evey charge made also had a surcharge for currency exchange. The banks conclusion is that someone in europe has my card number.

So we went through all of my statements since the first of the year and found 2 more back in february that I totally missed.

At any rate, what the bank is doing is giving me a "provisional line of credit" which means basicall they are reimbursing me for all the charges that went through.
Then an investigation is done and 120 days from today the investigation people determine if they think I made those puchases. When they figure outI didn't make those purchases, I don't reimburse the bank for the credit they gave me. Which basically means they gave me my money back.

stupid thieving bastards that stole my card

yeah thats stupid.

it's so easy to do also, and you are BARELY punished for doing it which is bs.

i'd make dam good friends with everyone @ your bank and only buy orange juice for the next 120 days :)

Thanks, I found a R1819 from frsports.com. They had them instock and it was only $260 shipped. Not as good as jazzpro at 216 shipped but they never have them in stock
