Hehe, a few odd comments..Imprezive wrote:...what has this thread turned into?
So when will the development of a 1992+ scoop begin

I hope to see the first scoop this weekend, hot off the "press" hehe!
And then I'll take pms to send out his email for paypal payments. ^^
$110 for a scoop isn't so bad!
And he's really good about shipping so those of you who aren't so close I think will be happy too!
Oh and after the first ten pre-facelift scoops sell, he'll be most likely fairly easy to convince to make the post-facelift...
I think we just sourced a good custom fiberglass parts guy!
Pics very soon!

I would imagine that the post-facelift scoop would be quicker to develop since the basic scoop design is already defined and all he would need to do is adapt the different base....

And I have a can of plasti-dip waiting to paint it with (keep it fast, keep it flat black).

I haven't been able to stop by the shop in a while, he's switched from dayshift to nightshift on his full time job, so yeah, I've already paid for the mold and my scoop..NuclearBacon wrote:oh man i am also SO IN. *thinks about all that air going over my TMIC*
WHOOOOOOSH!
and waiting too, so I'm assuming his current headache of an airbrush job... that one harley still isn't out, since the guy"changed his mind" it was actually his wife hating the "evil theme" and wants happy fantasy? WTF? lol
Anywho, he's doing a TON of repainting on this bike, so I'm not sure when it'll be our turn... But while he's been doing this, he finished another guy's project that was second in line.. so now the scoop project is the 2nd in line, not third. YAY for customers who KNOW what they want...
We're all waiting cause some dude's lack of testicular fortitude, it's his third bike and was all scared into having it made up "happy fantasy themed" It's just one of those things I guess... Despite it being his third bike... so it's not like she'll ride it, but KNOWING he made it NOT to her taste, she'd hate him for it.. Yup, too much drama for me..

*this news is two-three weeks old for me, so maybe it's much closer to done, all re-airbrushed and shipped out...
Sorry for the long ass wait.. but we're sooo close *otherwise I'd not have dropped off the money for mine..

I plan on going over there today, I'm thinking the repaint should be nearing completion..IronMonkeyL255 wrote:Thanks for the update.

thus putting the scoop first in line.. *there was a little bit done to it last time, but it was just the plug for the mold..*
when I'm walking out of the shop with my scoop, I'll be taking pics for here and then taking pms on paypal payment stuff, he said that once he gets the plug perfectly done, the mold follows with little effort and the scoops have like a two day wait period.. with gel coat, setting up, primer and viola!
I hope there's good news guys!
