No it shouldn't. Sounds like someone dropped the ball, like promised the tranny shop something they didn't have.

pulled 2 codes from the tcu 31 and 32. i know the 31 is the tps and its new and set right but still have a high idle. code 32 is the vss 1 if i remember right. my speedo works but the shift points are way off. would a bad vss cause the high rpm shifts

well i waiting on the trans harness. i checked the tps with mt digital multi meter and its with in specs. the idle is still high. it will go up to 2500 then slowly drop to 1100 or so then after i it the throttle it goes to 500 and just kinda sputters with out dieing . friday i got the leak fixed and they checked the old trans harness and what ever the did made the shifts points drop to 4500 rpm. so i'm starting to thing something in the harness is messed up. but i cant get the tps code to clear no matter what i try .

God TPS issues are trending HARD!
I feel like you need to adjust the TPS again, not really sure what else. If it's not rotated right (in the right spot) it will throw a CEL. Did you line up the TPS with the white marks to the screws that hold it in?
You have been waiting FOREVER to get this thing running..

pulled the plugs today to check the gap and they were soot black. this pos is running rich. any ideas what causes a rich mixture besides the O2 sensor. and the only codes showing are the tps and VVS 1
