Thats about what a K&N panel filter costs. Tell us how it performs.

Yeah, I had a free K&N panel filter, it did quite well. Got this thing "used" (still new in box) for $50. It is definately faster and more responsive. Also seeing better gas mileage on the highway.

It does look nice, & frees up some space in the engine bay compared to the OEM airbox.

You mod list is really growing!

good thing you got the older hks filter, the new one is shit and to small and does not let flow to get in.

way cool,
does it get heatsoaked easy?
thats my worry

Thanks guys! As far as heatsoak goes, I'm not worried at all. The filter doesn't seem to really be affected. I may end up building a heatshield, but for now, I couldn't be any happier.

To be honest, that is the only thing in the engine bay that doesnt look stock. Everything else looks totally stock... but it totally isnt

What car came with a Legacy Turbo ej22t block and ej20g heads? The 22b had a different 2.2 block.

Yeah...I was making a joke...

Apparently some people can't laugh anymore :(

And yes, Dale is very good at making things look 100% factory, when they are 100% not factory :D

Hold up. I always thought the EJ20G had the same intake setup as the EJ22T, correct?

So IF that's true, what did you do for your coffee cup mod? Because it looks amazingly factory...

That is because it is factory! (GL-10 Turbo)

Is there any specific model that the intake needs to come off of? Like a turbo model or what not?

(They made turbo gl's right?)

GL-10 Turbo

They came with a turbo.

by smh0101
Is that what the intake part needs to be off of?

Posted: Thu Mar 06, 2008 7:10 am

Yes. A 1988 or 1989 GL-10 Turbo should do...

There are probably other year GL-10's but I just know of those two for sure.
