Alright, all that's left is installation.

One thing i noticed about grille v2.0 was that, when all the support was cut out of the middle, it didn't lay as nicely across the bumper and at the top by the hood, leaving weird gaps. I tried to rectify that with some weather stripping last time, but didn't have that much success. This time i used the weather stripping for a windshield.

You can see it installed here at the far right.

Now I just get to post a bunch of gloating pictures of the final product at random wacky angles. Enjoy!

It looks good!

What did you use to create the pink trim piece directly in front of the mesh?

Thanks Josh,

I kinda was hoping it was red when I ordered it, but it's kinda pink yeah....

I bought it from this seller on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/RED-5M-FLEXIBLE ... 19decd9c94

It uses double sided tape. I screwed up and stored the tape in tight loops. This made the cover on the 3m tape come up in small wrinkles. So some of the tape wasn't as sticky as it could have been.

I did end up installing grille v3.0 today anyways since I had some time. Here's the finished and installed product!

So that's it until this one breaks. Right now i'm working on a forester grille, so that's eating up my work space.

The pink actually matches the "STi" pink pretty well.

Well, after a few months, the areas that got filled in (triangular holes on the sides) are sort of visible again. I don't know what causes it, but it sure is frustrating. It is what it is for now, so I moved on to working on a forester grille.
