Just for fun, here's a crappy photochop of how my car may look in the future.

Oh that'll come. I didn't notice it. Maybe wingless too? I've got a couple holes in my trunk lid that need filling as well after removing the badge.

Disable BBCode was checked. I unchecked it on your post. You can check your settings in your User Control Panel. For some reason the build journal forum is kind of cranky and disable's bbcode randomly.

Should look interesting/good with the roof painted black, windows tinted and everything blacked out.

Thanke. The windows are tinted but its a shitty tint job. Basically every window is missing pieces.

Heh heh. Thanks Matt. Sorry Kimo. I guess that's what happens when I don't get enough sleep.

Josh, I did check the User Control Panel and BBCode should be on. I guess the Build Journal forum now wants to show itself less cranky by regularly disabling the code on my posts. LOL. Thanks for working on my posts, though. It's not a big deal anyway.

Thanks. Got the car home today but it needs to be put back together and then wet sanded, cut and buffed and waxed.

Yeah I just changed your latest one too. When you post is "disable bbcode" checked?

Right now as I'm entering this message, to the right of the message entry box, it says that the "BBCode is OFF" and "Smiles are OFF" too (but I'd like them on). I don't see anywhere where it has those exact words "disable bbcode" with a box to check.

And, after I post, I don't see an "EDIT" button anywhere in case I want to do that.

Hmmm....that's weird. Let me check something.....

I think the issue is due to the permissions of the build forum and users that are not in the build forum group. I'll have to take a look at the forum permissions a little more closely when I get time to see if there's a way to tweak things so bbcode & smiles are on.

IMO, I love the look of the SS with the scoop and spoiler. Even once I go FMIC I will leave the stock scoop, even though it won't be "functional", not that it's exactly "functional" right now considering I took out the chimney for the TMIC

My scoop totally works. I was afraid it wouldnt but i put my hand on the intercooler when it was idling and it was hot so i went on a quick cruise and stopped and felt it again and it was cool to the touch. But i dont like the look. It attracts attention and looks ricey, especially since its black.

hmmm I don't think mine works that well for some reason but i'll have to test again! :D
and yea i can see that side of it, but i just really don't care what other ppl think of my car. if they think it's rice leaving the stock hood scoop on a car that's only like an inch tall then we have different definitions of rice haha. But yea no scoop is definately more sleeper

Back on topic...

Bought the 3M Headlight Restoration Kit from Autozone for $22.99 to do my gf's civic and figured since I had it I might as well do my passenger light on my legacy since it was not bought at the same time as the driver's side and was a little yellow even after trying a different headlight polish that didn't work very well. Got started on it and decided to do both lights just because and the corner lights too.

Here's the 3M Kit.

Yellow passenger headlight.

Sanded with 500 grit pad.

All finished. Just needs wax now.

Finally got my seal kits and boots from subaru to rebuild my steering rack and replace my wheel bearings. Got started on that and found out I don't a 19mm wrench that's skinny enough to take apart the rack. Also bought some Whiteline rack bushings.

This is what I want my legacy to look like. Nice and clean. Doesn't get much cleaner than that.

Looks great Kimo. Glad this time the email notification was for actual on-topic info.

I really like retouched image in the last post. Very clean without the hood scoop and the plate relocated. How are you liking the black roof? It looks really good in the photos. Kinda references the SVX two-tone paint scheme. I just saw a clean one of those locally for sale.

Thanks for the inspiration you've provided in creating this clean car. I've got a pearl white 91 SS too. You can check out where mine is in it's build process in the link in my signature.

Cheers!

Thank you. I'm loving the photochop I did and I'm pissed that when I resized it for the forum I accidently replaced the original size so no wallpaper for me. :(

I just checked out your car and it's pretty clean! You did a good job cleaning up that dirty engine bay, that was impressive. I just pressure washed mine and removed all the oil from when the last engine blew up and it's cleaner than ever now.

I'm glad I can inspire people to do cool things with older japanese imports.
