dynojet dyno. also yes i have seen a evo launch, ive driven many stock ones and highly modfied ones. dont forget i work for a performance shop and all we do is work on evo's and subies anymore, not as many honda's.

any why would you doubt 220, 16psi, full exhaust (3inch bellmouth and 3inch exhaust) sti TMICwith intercooler sprayer, blitz intake, your retarded if you dont think so.

220 WHEEL horsepower or 220 horses at the crank? Still seems a little sketchy, What turbo?

220WHEEL HP like i said, on the stock VF11, and im not the only person that has obtained these numbers, i pretty much copied his settup to make those numbers, now im going from there, bigger DP, TD05 16g turbo, FMIC, and apex-i power FC, along with 90/91 rails and RC engineering injectors, probally 480cc's. will be looking for 280-300WHP with a good tune.

Killed: 3 late 90s civics
1 WRX
1 V6 Accord
1 llate 80s Camaro RS

Killed by: Nothing yet.

Now, keep in mind I've only had my Legacy for 2 weeks, and with the rain we've been getting here in OR lately it's pretty easy to smoke anything with 2WD. I'm sure I'll be spanked by someone one of these days :D

I'm not saying I don't believe you, but I made 220whp and I it wasn't on the stock VF11. I pushed the VF11 and it doesn't make power.

Unless you tuned on race gas, which is a different story all together.

Which performance shop do you work at? I also work at one :). Fun job, huh? We are almost exclusively Subaru, which makes it even sweeter!

WRX huh? I would have to say that you were probably racing and they weren't. Your car is 130 chp. The WRX is 227 chp. There is no way, unless the WRX driver was anything but.

The other guy has to be part of the game for it to count. :P

haha, yea seriously.

also, 220AWHP on a VF11? that is pretty outrageous.... although, maybe you could give me a ride in it since i live by that shop :D . that would put all this to rest.

ill gladly give you a ride as soon as i swap out the coupler between my intercooler and throttle body. ill have to put the FCD back on, and bump the boost back up. i took it all off when i got a ticket a few weeks back for a AWD drift through a few intercections with my brother in the car befause he was also doubting the power i had.

also the shop i work at is the link in my signature. we need to update our web site, but you can look through the projects and gallery to see the cars we have built/building.

the skyline is the owners toy. unduisclosed HP/TQ and monolug wheels

Oh, I agree completely. I think the driver was merely didn't want to wring out his car too much. Had he really been trying I no I wouldn't have stood a chance. and even still it was close. In the WRXs defense it was an out of state car so the driver was probably a little worried about risking a ticket (I know I always worry about it when I'm not in my home area!)

Your turbo would be REALLY hating you!!!

That is a ton of pressure on the hot side of that little turbo...

And your EGT's must be outrageous...

I think 220WHP is doable with what he has/had on there. But the fact you are pushing a weeny vf11 to 16psi is ridiculous :D

Keep in mind dyno numbers will always be different depending on what brand dyno you run on. So his 220 from a Dynojet could actually be 180WHP on a Mustang dyno. Its all a little subjective...

thats another reason i took it down a few notches, i knew it waws pushing it, and i wanted the turbo to last a little while. and ya i do know that on a mustang it could be lower, im just going off what the dyno jet put out.

im trying to get my car running right again, still having a little problem and i hope to sort it out so i can redyno it the day after subie fest. kito automotive is having another dyno day, $75 for 3 pulls. so im going to run it again if i can afford it but only at 11psi, stock DP with 3inch catback, STi TMIC, and blitz intake. if i get my HKS FCD before then i might go up to 14psi on the last run.

also last night killed a nissan sentra ser spec V. it had aftermarket nismo cams, exhaust, and intake. raced from about 70-120/130mph on a deserted highway. i got about 2-3 cars on him. was rather pleased, nice guys in the car, gave me a thumbs up after 3 runs.

I annihilated a bone stock 89' prelude tonight. :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

I usually see many speedy drivers around where I live, and when I do they are always driving the opposite way.

Edit: Whats your current setup Scooby?

Well, my most recent adventure was with my friend and his S4 sedan (like a MY2002 or so)... We had talked previously about our rides - he a avid Audi guy (but works at a Subaru dealer) - an he of course thinks his S4 is the shit.

So I see him ahead of me on a local 6 lane 45mph limit road (Arapohoe east of foothills for the Boulder locals on here). Anyway, I roll up next to him and we're talking while cruising and low and behold there is a red light "oh darn" he says - hehe.

We are sitting at the light BS'n some more, then cross traffic light goes yellow. I pull rev's to 4500 or so, he does likewise. Green - he gets a small jump off the line (me thinking of launching too much) but we both get good digs
end of 1st - my front bumper at his driver door
end of 2nd - my front bumper 1/2car off his rear
end of 3rd - things got ugly - he pulls 3-4cars

those 6speeds help keep nice gearing up top for him.

All in all I was happy - the new turbo will bring things more in-line for our next encounter

Cliff notes: I get killed, but not too badly considering it's a twin turbo 2.7l V6 with 6speed.

Killed but not really: Newer BMX 330i w/ some kind of sport package.

It was one of those transmissions w/ automatic and manual shifting built into it. I dont know the fancy lingo...

Setting: Foothill curvy road

Long story short, I pull out behind a BMW, chase it with speed to spare. (I had to slow down for them) Reaching speeds in excess of 70mph on a curvacious downhill to uphill road.

They pull into my work, turns out to be a girl!! She comments that my subaru does pretty good and is "pretty fast for a subaru". (little did she know I wasnt struggling whatsoever to keep up)
My friend mentions its a turbo and she was surprised. She begins to brag about her BMW and how it is sooooo superior to all other vehicles (including AWD cars) in all driving conditions (even snow!)

I laugh inside my head because my $1000 car is just as fast and would have whooped up on her 330i if I didnt have to sit behind her and could have passed.

So it wasnt really a street race, which I was happy about, and it was fun for the few minutes before we caught up to traffic.

What are the specs on those cars??

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The 2006 BMW 3-Series Sedan debuts with an all-new design that blends 3-Series character with new styling elements from the 7-Series and the 5-Series. The 2006 BMW 3-Series will be offered as the 325i Sedan and 330i Sedan, followed in the fall by all-wheel-drive versions. Both sedans are powered by new inline six-cylinder engines that use magnesium/aluminum composite for reduced weight and include the first use of BMW VALVETRONIC for a six-cylinder engine. The 330i sedan is powered by a 255-horsepower 3.0-liter with 220 lb-ft of torque and the 325i sedan is powered by a 215-horsepower 3.0-liter with 185 lb-ft of torque.

hahaha, yeah I raced a guy in a pedal bike.....what of it?

Hrrmmm, I dunno maybe they werent pushing it as much as I thought. a 255hp power plant should be able to pull away from my car quite easily.

none-the-less I had her nailed on the corners.

Edit: maybe she just had it in auto mode?

the 05's are considerably weaker, i think msn said it was about 225hp for the 330i's. the 06's are redesigned, and look a lot different, so thats a good way to tell which is which.

Schooled some poser in a new Mustang GT today. I kept him stuck behind me on the freeway until a 1/4 mile before the main interchange near my home. I let him break out and take the inside lane of the left-hand curve. Not only did I pass him on the outside of the turn, but I gave him the thumbs-down while doing it. I was actually surprised that I pulled it off. I can do 80 around that curve all day, but 95 is pushing it, especially for one hand on the wheel. He eventually gave me the loser's pass before I hit my exit. Once again I gave him the thumbs-down.

I love pooping on "sports" cars. I really thought the GT would've owned me though.

For a second I thought you ment you used both hands to give him thumbs downs. ahaha

I believe it was a 2005 or earlier, I can usually tell the difference. The front end wasnt the newer sleek looking one.
