I think the guys last name was De Tomaso or something like that (it sounded italian). I found a name and number on the car's battery, and called and left 3 messages for the guy, but he never returned any of them. I'd love to find the old owner of the car.

Nice build, those bbs are perfect! I agree on the door handles needing paint. Other then that, she's looking real good.

The bbs's are now off again. Went back to my other wheels. I like the look a little better. They look more aggressive. lol Handles will be getting painted as soon as the weather gets warmer then 60 degrees. Worst spring EVER!

Got a CX racing FMIC kit.

Only mod i had to do, was cut the "cold side" pipe, where it curves around the oil fill tube. The angle didn't work. Luckily i had a coupler with a flex part in the middle.

Hurry up and post a pic of it with the bumper back on! I like the stealth black rattle job. Now you should get an NA hood. I've got one for my car waiting for me to go FMIC. But I think I will look for a smaller core that will allow me to mount it without cutting the beam. I figure if it's 2-2.5 inches less in height it will fit without cutting and it will still be larger than my TMIC and certainly more functional.

no, the piping on my hotside is all greddy stuff, and the piping on the cold side is parts from one of CX Racing's universal 2.75" intercooler piping kit. my core is a no-namer. but it's a nice size.

Logan, I dont have Tig skills. lol. I'll see how they hang once i put my cover back on. Trying to figure out wtf im running 9:1 afr's... The FMIC kit wouldn't have affected that, would it? <-- this ? is for anyone who can chime in.

i don't understand the whole air/fuel thing... i never actually payed attention to afrs as far as what i need to know, i should probably start paying attention...

I don't know why an FMIC would change them unless the afrs were changed by temperature. Did you have a TMIC before?

sounds like a boost leak after the maf
because the maf is reading all the air going in, fueling for that much air then in the intercooler piping the air is leaking out causing too much fuel

It would be reading lean if anything, at idle that is. And no the fmic isn't leaking. It holds 17psi just fine. Me and Rob are trying to figure it out. Such a PITA. I'm getting like 8 mpg. So i stopped driving it till i get it solved.

Its not misfiring. I mean it kinda does, its more like gurgling on fuel when i'm just trying to maintain a speed on a level surface. It doesn't know what to do and just floods the cylinders.
What resistance should my coolant temp be reading?

yup. and while cruising. Its only when i give it like 1/3rd throttle that it leans out to 14:1

strrrrange, i just got my rob tuned ecu in and it was way way under 10:1 at idle and so much smoke (burnt gas) until i seated the injectors into the rails better so they were all the way down. but its still only at 11.8-12.2 at idle.
