Just pulled some codes, please help!

his is how it went

LSSS=13
LLLS=31

Thanks to legacy777's websites for this.

Code13 cam angle sensor No signal entered from cam angle sensor, but signal (corresponding to at least two rotations of cam) entered from crank angle sensor

Code31 Throttle sensor Abnormal voltage input entered from throttle sensor Sets throttle sensor's voltage output to a fixed value

What should i do about these?

This is obviously what my problem is with why my car wont start correct?

Could a piggyback ECU fix the Cam angle problem?

Nothing.....(Read post above pictures)

I ran the codes and i came up with a TPS fault

And that the cam gear sensor isnt working....

Question, Will a first GEN N/A Cam gear sensor work on this harness and work for this application?

I would like to just give a BIG, BIG thanks to Stipro, He came over yesterday and taught me alot in the brief time i met him, We discussed what my best options were and he came to the conclusion that using my EJ22T Cam sprockets with the correct receiver lobes on the back for the cam gear sensor SHOULD fix my problem. Ive never dealt with timing belts before and have no idea what im about to do, although ive been given some good advice im going to try to do my best.

okay i fucked everything up i marked all the marks on the belt and i cant get it to fit, this is fucked!

My neighbors our complaining alot and this car is costing me too much to keep here, im not spending another dime on this thing.

ill try to put it back together and see what happens.....

If it dosent run ill have to part it out to recover some of my losses....

Isn't there a good subaru mechanic near there somewhere?? I wouldn't part it out either. I would just sell it say starting issues.

Check out this link.

Well the closet I can get is a guy named ryan, Ive never dealt with timing belts and such and he seems to be very enthusiatic he is a mechanic by trade but has no real experiences on subarus, Im hoping he will set my timing and camshafts right and i will see what happens.

It will be a great feeling when you get it running. Just takes some time to figure out how things work.

These are not my pics.

This is what the EJ25 Cam Sprocket looked like (on the right)

Both the EJ25 and EJ22 ones looked like this with very, very tiny difffrences.

SO Everything went back together, tryed to crank it, it spuddered a bit and did the same thing it did before.

The timing sounded and felt fine, im going to go to the scrap yard on monday for a cam gear sensor but other than that no more money for this hound dog.

The mechanic charged me 160$.

i'd check the relation of the key on the camshaft pulley to the timing marks as well. They may be off by enough that it's throwing the timing the computer is seeing off. You might also check for broken wires somewhere. Chase everything down. Follow the wires from the sensor to the ecu. Also you might search for anyone that's done the conversion to 25sohc heads on nasioc, you might find some tips

ALso instead of checking wires cant i just run the codes and then check the wires from there? Because id get Throttle Body code and cam gear sensor code...

I think this is a good thing....

Just ran my codes again, NO cam gear sensor code anymore!

Just the throttle body code, so why isnt my car starting then?

the key is that round peg on the back of the camshaft pulley that keeps it from moving around. You can see it in the picture above that you posted. it's like a little o that fits into the camshaft when you bolt the pulley on.

Slowly do a process of elimination, do you have spark? air? fuel? Are all of the wires for the TPS sensor in decent condition? They get brittle and sometimes they break. Are you using the same TPS from the old engine that worked before?

oh, when you do the timing belt, make sure you line up the mark on the back of the crankshaft pulley, on one of the teeth that triggers the sensor, and not the arrow on the front of the pulley which indicated TDC. This can trick people.
