Did you buy the 4.44 tranny that had been for sale forever on nasioc? Considering the parts and labor put into it, that was a steal!

125miles on the rebuilt eninge in my legacy today. A couple days ago I had codes 14,15,16,17,22. Replaced the knock sensor and all codes went away.

Started putting the EJ20 together for the 91 I'll be driving/selling while my car is down for maintenance. It's getting the 2.0l that was going to go in my car. Broken head bolt in the 22t, just had it drilled out yesterday but I need to get the rest of the bolt out.

killajamal, you get another first gen!? and thanks! idk if that pic I was on coils or the springs I have now. I was on some horrible blown coils until I got KYB struts and Tein springs, I cut the fronts down a bit so it sits really nice. Check my thread in the photo section.

Wheels are now on: 17 x 7.5 Moda MD-18 shod with B.F. Goodrich Sport Comp 2's 215-45 ZR 17. Exhaust is next: 3" Stromung Dual Tip Cat-Back. When I do install exhaust I will post a link to video of exhaust sound. After Cat-Back I will install a new Grimmspeed Catted Divorced Wastegate Downpipe. I will take another video then.

@robertpaige yes sir! Its just an NA 2.2 that I got for fun. Mainly snowboarding and shooting in the woods. I haven't done much to it at all. I'm working 40+ a week and finishing my bachelor's degree so my mechanical education has taken a hiatus:/
Your whip is looking insanely clean. On another level for sure. I scoped your photos already! I'm diggin it.

It's a little late, but I washed the Impreza last Friday, changed the oil & filter, and swapped to the newer style windshield washer squirters. (Thanks again Mike)

Changed the oil in my impreza to 10w30.
I also picked up a FMIC and HKS bov with the recirculating attachment. I had planned to put the FMIC on my legacy, but now I'm having different thoughts. My impreza could really benefit from it but I can't see having a FMIC on a rally car being a good thing. At least until I have a StandAlone ecu and can ditch the MAF, in the event I have a front end crash and ruin the FMIC or have a coupler come un done, I could possibly still drive.

Changed the oil and plugs on the 93 last night. Put most of the motor together for my 91. EJ20 W/ SOHC 22t heads. Should be a fun little car to drive.

Still gathering parts for my 92 (my build car) Broken head bolt in the 91 block set me back big time, but the engine is salvageable. Buddy at roopair said he'd fix the bolt hole for 150. It needs a time cert.

Finally got new tires for the Impreza today. The old ones were down to the wear indicators and bald on the outside edges. Also got an alignment :)

Got an alignment today... the guy rode my clutch at 5k getting it on the rack. Kinda pissed.. don't drive a manual car if you don't know how in the first place. Let me do it, for god sakes. My clutch is already shot, slips even more now. AND my wheel stills is cocked to the left. grrr...

TurnNburn shipped my FMIC today. Looks like it will fit right up with only 1 cut to extend the TB pipe. Excited about that, and my VF39 will be here tomorrow with my Defi EGT gauge. ;)

Yeah....I can't stand alignment shops that don't know what they're doing. The place near me is reasonable and will do it to my specs. Plus I can watch them while they do the work.

He left my front right camber at 1.7 and the rest at almost zero. He said he couldn't get it flush because something is out of whack, and that my car doesn't have factory camber adjustment.. I was thinking to myself, ummm there are camber bolts on the top ya dingus. I know he didn't check and he was just bullshitting me. I was so eager just to get my car and leave that I didn't care. Mostly because I'm installing coilovers and will need an alignment again anyways. So it can wait.

I would suggest running some negative camber, -0.5 to -1.0.

Yeah try some place else when you put the coilovers on.

Ugh taking so much longer than I thought. And this kit sucks to fit. Definitely needs modding.

Got most of my 91 put back together yesterday. This will be the last time I ever install a 4eat. Unless I get better tools in the future, which wont happen. Anyways swap was a pain in the ass. It's got a 98 impreza l transmission in it now. Torque converter didn't match the flex plate so I had to pull the engine out again and have Steven hunt his old plate down. Had to mess with the shift cable, that was a pain as well. But after a very productive day yesterday, everything under the car and everything under the hood is 3/4 of the way done. Got some hoses to fix, Radiator, intake, fluids, and fire it up.

One question tho, Since it's been sitting so long and it has a wrx 2.0 in it that I have no idea how long had been sitting, should I disconnect the injectors and crank it a bit to build up some oil pressure?

Here's how it sits now

It probably wouldn't hurt to crank it over and build oil pressure.

The downside of doing this is primarily if you have hydraulic lifters. They don't get the proper oil pressure and the lifters can collapse and may take a little bit of time to pump back up once the engine is started.
