I think your taking the title of Moderator too far. The power has gone to your head.

The discussion was that inapropriate images could be seen by others in your enviroment.

The image was posted as a THUMBNAIL that had to be clicked for a full size. On a 19 inch monitor at 1024x768 (lower that normal resolution) the image was aproximately 1 inch square.

It really pisses me of that I spent all the time creating a thumnailed link of the image and its removed. Even with a sharp monitor the image wasnt high enough resolution to be seen 4+ feet away.

In fact I feel this was BETTER because the person got a preview of the upcoming image and could choose not to view it.

I guess being in a post labeled BOOBS means nothing as well

May I propose a way to end this argument? This is Dave's house. Let's ask him what he would like us to do. As his guests, I think we can all agree to follow his guidelines.

I like that we can post and view risky images on this sight and would hate to see that privalage (and it is a privalage that many sites don't tolerate) taken away because of people not following the rules. This is Daves site so ultimataly he makes the final decision I guess but he made Josh a Site Administrator not just a moderator which means he trust Josh enough to run the site.

I would hate to see what happened with the Avatars happen with this! If the privalages are abused, they can and will be taken away. I worked 2 days getting my Avatar (which was a picture of my car) hosted, resized and loaded here and because a few members Avatars were thought unappropriate everyone lost the privalage.

I don't think this site is over moderated at all but it will be eventually if the couple of rules that are set up aren't adhered to.

This is just my .02 and I'm not trying to take sides or get down on you ciper, I just don't want to loose my privalages either.

I dont mind the post was taken away, I just dont agree with the reasoning. I spent time making a thumbnail just because of the last time this happened!

I still feel that giving the user a micro sized preview is better than leading them into the unknown. I could have posted an image of some Japenese girl shitting into the guys mouth for all you know. With the thumbnail you knew exactly what to expect yet it wasnt large enough to get you into trouble.

This is getting really stupid. Just because we can't post pics of naked girls all over the board, we decide to get in a shit-flinging contest.

I have no problem with the complete elimination of such pictures from the board entirely. We're all big boys and girls here, we know plenty of other places to find such provocative pictures online on our own. We don't need someone to help us find them. If we did nothing but post pictures of naked women all day long, we're headed straight for Nabisco or I-club status...

I agree with vrg3 at this point, it detracts from the true purpose of the board, which is technical discussion.

We all remember my ass-shaking avatar. Guess what? It was temporary, simply for laughs. I did not intend on keeping it for long, as I found it very distracting.

Let's just forget about the girly pictures and post something more worthwhile from now on. Then we won't have to go through this garbage again...
