I actually prefer my corner lamps to those of the 92+ legacies. I think they're ugly as sin, being that they remind me of corollas :shudder: I dont know what it is, but there's something unsettleing about their appearance. I'd give someone $30+ to wire my turn signals up so my corner lamp blinked opposite of my front turn signal!

Laurel, like I said in another thread a long time ago, I think all you need to do is splice one wire. Cut the grounded wire of the corner lamp bulb and splice it into the switched side of the turn signal bulb. I haven't tested this because I don't have a 90-91 BC/BF around, but it really should be that easy.

I actually had those as standard equipment on my 90 Legacy LS AWD.
Well, maybe not standard, but they certainly looked like original equippment: mounted just underneath the front bumper to the right and left, respectively, of the license plate. In fact, the installation looks as factory as could be, and the fog lamps themselves were actual, bona fide, Subaru fog lamps.
I recently took them off because they didn't work. Upon inspection I discovered that the filament and reflectors were actually intact, but the gasket around the lamp glass and the lamp assembly had deteriorated to the point where it, literally, fell apart in my hand. Also, the switch and all the wires, connections are still intact (the button is located to the left of the steering wheel and just under the cruise control and rear defroster buttons) and looks identical to the aforementioned switches with the only difference being the little pictograph thingy on the button itself.
I was bummed that they didn't work, but one of the lenses was cracked and they looked kinda ghetto like that so I removed them thinking I would replace them with a suitable facsimile. I haven't yet, but I'm hoping installation will be smooth and trouble free.
I love the added illumination under adverse weather conditions and I've always felt that this was a fairly rare option on this particular car.
Actually, aside from not having the air suspension, this car has every single option available, except the turbo, and to my good fortune everything works wonderfully -heck, the power moonroof doesn't even leak!

bob you're right, those were a factory option. And damn rare at that. The switch itslef is valued. I'd hang onto it and just get new lights. I believe the ones you have are rebranded hella or piaa or phillips or something, but subaru didn't make em. Can you post some pics of them?

You may be able to change them out with Hella 550's. They are nice lights - had them on my '83 sedan.

Actually, I was planning on reinstalling a pair of Hella's that were currently on my GMC S-15 (I have noticed that the lights are nearly identical in appearance). By the way THAWA I scrapped the original lights when I took 'em off as one of the lenses was cracked and the gasket material was totally rotten on both. Also, all four of the adjustment bolts snapped during the removal process, but otherwise the mounts and connections are tip top. I'm expecting that the Hellas from my truck will be an easy swap assuming I don't need to screw around with fuses, bad grounds or misconnected wires.
I was curious what the switch itself was worth -I must admit I was mildly amused that THAWA said it was valuable; not in a smug way or anything but rather just surprised.
I plan on taking a few pics of the mounts and the switch itself -they should be up shortly.

Its valuable to us that like to keep the car looking stock. Otherwise its not really special.
