yeah, thats the first time i had to tear apart an engine and HAVE to have it work again :) usually its burnt up engines and crap, learning how to take crap apart and NOT break stuff....thing started second crank of the engine then backed down to its normal 700 rpm and not the 3k rpm it was shooting up to when cold starting.....finally its running like it used to, perfect and silently....while i was at it i removed the AC compressor as i never used it seeing it wasnt charged one bit, i figure if i dont use it why have it...also replaced the alternator belt and fresh power steering fluid as it was dirt cheap....

edit for the pics (curtosy of Vikash) Thanks buddy!

e-mail the pics and i'll put em up.

good that everything is working now

Dunno if you knew this but the defrost selction uses the ac compressor for whatever reason, something to do with the air or something. anyway, I dont know how tat's goingto affect you now. but yeah.

If the A/C system wasn't charged the defrost wouldn't use it anyway. And if you run the compressor without refrigerant to carry its lubricant, you'll quickly kill the compressor.

When the A/C works the defrost uses it to keep the air dry so in wet weather it doesn't add to the moisture on the windows. I've had mine removed for a few months now and there's no problem.
