Just do a visor swap like Laurel did. . . now her visors stay up perfectly.
And they're rice because they display an "airbag" warning. . . on her 1991.

Trunk release tab = broken but it works to open trunk.
Gas release tab = not broken and works fine.
Visors = cheap ass crappy but work fine.

I've got a broken trunk release handle too, got a new lever from Subaru ($6 or so) and am trying to figure out how to get the damn assembly apart. Found a philips head screw up top, seemed to release the trunk lever/gas lever plastic cover but it seems theres no way to work it off... has anyone actually ever replaced either of these levers? Whats the trick, I don't want to snap another piece of plastic...

OK I'm an idiot. The handles slide forwards and off the metal levers. The bottom plastic cover piece doesn't have to come off, although I did eventually work it off. Damn brittle plastic. Almost broke my fuel tank opener in the process.
