Definatly. Since the center diff is now locked, the stress is less likely able to be released to the rear end, forcing more stress on the front tires... causing wheel spin, or lockup. Its common, dont ever use the diff lock on dry pavement, and tell that to your brother ASAP before the tranny becomes a paperwieght.
There is a Dual Range 4WD version of that tranny (5spd only) available in the Subaru RX's, even more rare than your GL10 Sedan.
Anyhow... we should all meet up regardless. Im about to get my car all fixed up, and will like to see some new faces.

should we all meet up somewhere beforehand, and show up fashionably late just to make a scene?

I should find a way to show up. I can trade someone and get the day off. I'll be letting you know for sure wether i can, or cannot make it in a few days.
I have some friends who live in the Bay Area, i will have to show him this thread and see if he can make it. His car is a '84 EA81 Wagon that he plans on putting a turbo and AWD into. Got the parts, just no time. I'll make him aware of your Wagon Ciper, and tell him to keep an eye out.

Ciper! you were at s-squared??????? Dang, I feel bad man. I was looking around wondering when you guys would show up. I even saw you guys walk in and thought "hey I wonder if that's them" but then thought "nah, they probably didn't come because it was a long drive." Suck. I totally should of said hi and hung out longer with you guys. Sorry man.
