I seriously got like 28-29 mpg in my turbo on one instance. that was driving over the mountains too, to warped tour last summer.

Since my fuel sender died (just replaced for $53 and 15 min. work - I love these cars) I've noticed my mileage more cloely by using the odometer and find:

Driving like a maniac (lots of redlining and holding high rpms around onramps and 80+mph) and the rest city driving I get a little over 23 mpg.

My last tankful with only being marginally nice on the gas I got just over 27 mpg.

I'm going to see if I can old-lady it to 30!

Steve's very happy.

But Cheney's stocks in Halliburton are worth more this way. He needs the money, man. Have some sympathy!

Look at China, too. There's a huge demand for cars there now (without emissions standards, incidentally - good luck, California) and it's not likely to abate.

We should be driving on domestically-produced, cleaner burning alcohol, but our government, GM, and Mobil/Exxon saw to it otherwise post WWI. Thank them, too.

4.44 tranny + 12 PSI + 1$ a liter of gas makes me really poor at the end of the week... I get about 14-16 liters if not more on the highway @120-125 km/h per 100km

BUT whenever you hit boost... it's just crazy...

I routinely get around 200 miles to a tank. Comes out to about 16.5MPG.

I attribute it to my failing IAC valve and my slipping clutch.

I hope I get more than 20 on a semi-regular basis.
