and the post-facelift has the extremely ugly more clear/white front lights with gross shapes, but better looking rear end.

The ugly turd turned into a good looking machine starting w/ the 92 model year (in the US at least)

The fantastic-looking prefacelift Legacy was made in the 90-91 model year, sporting Giugiaro styling and a sporty, aggressive stance, pictured here:

Then Subaru pussied out for the 92-94 model years and decided the Legacy needed to look more like a grandma car, so they put all these ugly curves in the front end, and this heap was produced:

The 90-91 and 92-94 front ends both look pretty good, specially the turbos. Whereas the rear end on 90-91 sedans looks like ass but the 92-94's looks pretty nice. Thats why I bought a 92-94 turbo.

I like the early style rear end more too. Which year is it almost solid red? That is the most hideous thing! If i had that id spraypaint it black or something.

But that car doesn't look anywhere near as bad as a pre facelift.

I agree, I like the entire pre package better, all the way around. Black out the chrome strips across the pre taillight and it looks simply awesome.

The post rear end is all too close to being accused of a 92 Maxima ;)
