Now, if I want to remove my steeringwheel (since it seems to be easier in the long run and "safer" too...), do you have any tips about getting it off? I've never found a good way to remove a steeringwheel, always just brute force (on older cars), but I don't want to use too much brute force here. I've tried loosening the center nut and then hammering on the shaft while a friend pulled all he could on the wheel, but it just didn't want to come off!
That is why I wanted to know if it was possible without removing...
You talk of these 4 pop-out panels, any closer details as to where they are? I will see if I can get it apart later on tonight, if not, I might take some pics and post here so you can point me in the right direction...
