I once starved the STi of fuel. . .
of course, that was doing a 0-100 freeway onramp run with less than 1/8 of a tank. Engine hesitated at about 4k in 5th gear . . . . but myself and my passengers were pinned to the seats, so I concluded it was the remaining fuel in the tank sloshing all the way to the back.
