You're lucky to have one so close, there isn;t a drag strip for 250miles from me.

I'm gonna have to call BS on that one...sorry
I beleive that, its easy to beat 5ltr V8's and 911's, they are SLOW, depends what street bikes your talking about, I have not much trouble despatching of up to 600cc bikes, anything over that I'm in trouble. just because you beat those doesn't mean you have 350HP, remember V8's are very heavy - they need that power just to move!
911's might be slow but 911 turbos are not. He's saying he can beat a 911 turbo, which has what, about 330 chp and weighs much less then the Legacy....

yeah that is a bit hard to swallow, if I can find one and give it a run I'll let you guys know

I raced one about 2 months ago and it was pretty even through the end of second gear but then he really started pulling away....

He was toying with you until the end of second gear.

Just to come back to the first subject, does anyone have any dyno numbers, whatever the setup might be. I mean REAL numbers

My but dyno tells me I'm pushin' some serious juice. I smoked this Ford Escort, decked out with spoiler, tint, Pep Boys way mad wheel covers, gold crown air freshner, and Ain't Skeered windshield banner. I think he had NOS and a V16 with quad turbos.

i belive legacy92ej22t, no one on this board has faith it makes me sick,

see if you guys can swallow this i draged raced with a sti one night, i beat him so bad i made his 40g car look like a shit box and he had shit done and he didnt even no what type of car my was.

so sti come with 300hp i take it i have 350hp, and i left him 2 legacy car lengths

by THAWA
hmm, if that's all the length you gained on him I would have to doubt you have 350 whp. Sounds more like you've got 350 chp, but honestly I don't care if you've got 600 whp :D I say you all wait for the dyno/drag/whatever if this is that much of a concern to you.

Contact Jeff at Delta V Motorsports in Richmond, Va. He's got some #'s that you'll like.. :D

With your set up (very similar to mine and Jeff's), you should have at least 200 HP at the crank. More likely in the neighborhood of 230+hp.

At any rate, he's dyno'd his a few times.

STi runs 255 WHP, and that's with a close to flawless drivetrain. II have no doubt the leggy has way more drivetrain loss than an STi.

Also, STis dont cost 40 grand, and just because you "beat" him, does not mean that the car's a shitbox. would you say that a jag is a shitbox compared to a pinto with a 350?

Nico, last I heard you were actually running your stock fuel pump and claiming 350hp at the crank...

It's not a lack of faith, Nico. It's just that, as Carl Sagan put it, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

I'd really like to believe our cars are capable of what you say they are, but mathematics, physics, and chemistry make me doubt it. Remember my post in this thread?

Out of curiosity why do you think that? Nico is talking in canada bucks :)

Hey, I'm in $5 on Nico's dyno run. Anyone else want to pitch in to see legitimate numbers?

A 6 speed should actually have more drivetrain loss than a 5.

well shit if that's all you have to do...
I've got 200 whp etc etc, now pay for my dyno :)

Nico, I believe your car is fast. I don't know if it has 350 chp, but I'm excited to see your dyno and drag numbers. Don't keep us waiting too long :)

Shoot, I'd love a ride. :)

I'm thinking of hooking up with Kelly this weekend when I drive down through Portland. That should be a cool ride if we can meet up.

there is no doubt that Nico's ride has 350 at the crank. he was saying 350 at the wheels before... which would be very questionable. STi's are under-rated power wise. How in the world do you get an engine with the largest displacement and highest boost that barely outpushes an STi motor with 80% of the displacement and less boost?

you guys are muddying up this guy's thread, take the argument somewhere else.

I thought the sti's only boosted up to 14psi or something?

242WHP (178.1kw) on 17psi, now running 19psi spike slowly settling to 17psi by redline, feels stronger now, and I waxed a S13 silvia the other night with 260WHP (from a recent dyno day) by 1 1/2 car lengths, we had a rolling start too!

ok, DYNO numbers. I just got back from dyno'ing my stock 93SS and it has about 140 hp to the wheels. Figure in 20% loss and it comes out right from the factory numbers. RSSTI- in Aussieland has 240 to the wheels easily, because there was a guy at the dyno who has an 03 wrx that was putting out close to 300 at the wheels, so I have no issue with his claims as he has the ej20t or ej20tt. Now, working backwards, to get 200 at the wheels, you need about 250 at the crank. to do that, you would need: Intercooler, fuel mods, psi jump, larger exhaust and most likely a td05-16g. Now, being a closed deck motor, it is possible to put out 350 at the wheels, but NOT WITHOUT A STAND ALONE COMPUTER SYSTEM. You just can't push it to that on the usual turbo/fuel/boost mods. Now, a STI weighs about 2-300 more than a legacy, and given the 20% loss to the wheels, puts out about 250hp to the wheels. now, given equal drivers, a legacy with 240 at the wheels would beat a STI, but not by much.
This is just my 2 cents. ( or 3 in Canadian) :D

i think that nico is making this up, i wont believe it till i see it. plus, i havent seen too many big block 5 liters around town, o wait, ive never seen one. and 911 turbos are running low 12's and high 11's stock depending on year. even the 1986 911 turbo is running a 13.4 stock. if you were going to make something up, at least think of something more belevable.

low 12's would be acheivable in my car if I could get a good launch, I'd like to give a 911 turbo a run, probably get beat but hey I might just give him a scare!

i dont get it does everyone but me get good gas milege out of there turbo legacys, becuse i dont. i put 20bucks in and 30km later its done, i dont think i have to upgrade nothing in the fule department. besides my msd fule pump in my tank thats all i upgraded.

about the computer stand alone, all i need is for someone to get ride of my boost or fule cut, not the first cut thats was done in the begining theres a 2nd one thats what i got to do, then i think i will hit 11s, right now i think low 12s no problems
