Cool, Steve, that's great that you were able to get a raise out of them!

Thanks. I'm still keeping Pep Boys PT until I get the final verdict on the fingers-crossed job. Now I should be making more than I did at my last company. I told them I had a construction gig paying $14/hr under the table and my boss really wanted me to stay and talked to the owners before I even talked to them myself. He spent a while trying to convince me to stay and telling me all about the high-performance boat stuff he's into that he can show me in the spring/summer so either way I guess things will be good. I told them about the other job I'm waiting on and they were very understanding. Funny as I don't know shit about boats and now I'll be making a little less than double Pep Boys and I actually know cars.

Now I just need to find a good mail-order-bride service and get me a Cambodian girl. Italian women drive me nuts, too, but why the hell would they want to leave their country?!

Going to my 10 year HS reunion with my ex. If only I killed people for a living it would be like Grosse Point Blank.

eeeexw. cambodian girls are hit and miss. there was one that looked like tyra banks i used to date but all her friends were ({[ we really need the right smilies]}) ugly. half asians and half itilians, then you have something.

Haven't seen too many ugly ones up here (but then I don't see many). I think all nationalities are hit or miss, but these particular women do something to me that women from other places rearely do. I was offered the hot cousin of a gorgeous Cambodian woman I worked with, but I had to fly to Cambodia and marry her. Back then I didn't want to, but now I'll do anything.

rock on.. no black women around you? how about some halfs? My girl's mom is white, and her late dad was a real, live pimp.. that's how he met her mom.. through a friend of a friend is what she says.. but.. we don't listen to her.. she's old, crazy, and collects dolls. Either way, i think mixed-race girls are gorgeous..but then again, i think that makes me racist. :D

I hadn't ever read this thread, but I did a headlight conversion that seems to be working out pretty well... I used the xenon sealed light housings out of my buddy's old '90 Audi coupe quattro and fit them in to the casings of my old subaru headlights. The grids on the front do mess things up a bit, but its a HUGE inprovement. The only problems I have found thus far is that they get extremely hot (which doesnt really make sense to me...) and they draw more juice from the system. They will do 4 settings: fogs and high/low, just high, just low, and offroad. I will try to get some pics up if you are still going to convert yours, unfortunatly my digi camera has gone the way of the dodo. Thought I'd post this as an FYI.

Cheers!

You left the fluted lenses in? Dude, you need to get rid of that. It might look to you like it's only messing the pattern up "a bit," but it's really screwing it up. You're getting way more glare than you should.

Is your car a 90-91 or a 92-94, Morgan?

92-94.

You really think it’s that bad? Hmm... I must not know what I am missing then. I ground out the major flutes, and polished them up to as clear as the rest of the light, but the minor ones are just too much work...

In that case, I think I will go to Gary's and grab some headlights to screw around with, any good suggestions on materials for the front lenses? I may even try grinding the whole thing smooth and sanding/polishing it until it’s clear. It is possible to do (I’ve done it) but it's a major pain in the ass. Or I could grind them and then coat the lenses with High build Bartop Epoxy, that stuff is indestructible, and I believe it would adhere.

Oh. You had pretty good lights to start out with then; you just needed better wiring and better bulbs. :)

If you want to try fabricating covers to go in place of the lenses, you could try some polycarbonate or plexiglas.
