Yeeeouch! Brake cleaner hurts in an open wound! A lot of the time that's how I find a small cut... I don't notice it at all until I get brake cleaner in it.
Krazy Glue actually works pretty well to close wounds. There's a medical-grade version of it that's sold to the medical industry as an alternative to stitches.

Man, that sucks that Bret left, he did some major work on my car a while back. No more Flatirons Subaru for me, good thing I stopped letting mechanics poke and prod around my engine bay months ago.

Wow, Pep Boys is pretty quality compared to these horror stories. I'd goback and vandalize the business after that. I've heard lots of horrible things about Joffy Lube, some of them from a former manager.

But he is still around. He is at Mike Shaw these days. If you need work, just ask Kathy to schedule you with him on your car. They will charge you the higher high performance rate, but he is worth it.
And you guys are all smoking crack. The way to close a wound is super glue. Beleive it or not, that is what it was orignally created for. I have used it for rock climbing for years. 2 days up a wall and you tear the pad off your fingertip? No worries, superglue it back on. And for multiple day wrenchings like this VF-34 install became, tincture of Benzoin is indespensible. Also another climber's trick. It is a lot like second skin. It goes on liquid and forms a hard seal within minutes. Speeds healing and keeps whatever caustic fluids are around from making it burn...
BTW,
315CHP is very fun to drive. That WRX pulls like a bat out of hell now that we have it running...

Matt, thanks for that info. I have to study up on those areas to understand it better, but at least I've got the idea.
