Hey I got a full custom turbo back catless exhaust just sitting in my garage. It's the only thing I kept off my $180 87 GL-10 other than the turbo when it went to suby heaven. Was the best thing I did to it. I just need to get rid of it sometime, cheap.
I would think about doing a Legacy SS hybrid turbo as well, the stock one is tiny. Pick up a $25 stock one to play with and I'll give you the compressor wheel and housing if I can find it.
I was looking at a Turbocupe IC, looks like a good fit but never did put it in because of the 9psi thing.
The way I was going to get around it was go to the 86- vam, ecu, sensors. I figure it would be the easy way to run boost.
The cooling system is a joke, pissed me off. Then killed my engine. Watch out for that one.

Okay... again. The cooling system is new. The car doesnt even reach 1/2 way on the temp gauge, so its not a major concern of mine.
It will need a new exhaust however, so i maybe interested in yours. But I wont have any spending money until after the holiday's.
As soon as my IC gets here, i'll start playing with the boost. I suppose 9psi isnt all that bad. Cant be as bad as the stock 6.5psi

It's when you raise the boost that you will have problems with the temp. I had to back off a lot going over the pass into Cali on I-5 unless it was real cold.
No hurry on the exhaust, it's been sitting in my garage for about two years now. I was kinda waiting for my buddy to pick it up for his 83? Turbo. But he spends all his time and money on his Brat. If you spend much time on USMB you should know who it is. XT6 engine, crazy lift, with a transfer case after the tranny. There was a time we had every gen Subaru turbo sold in the US parked next to eachother. His 83? Turbo, my 87 GL-10, my Legacy SS, and my 02 WRX.
Thing is it's full length so I'd have to cut it to ship. If you came up you could just bolt it on. I'm not there but my brother is so you could get it whenever. I'll be home form Iraq April, I hope.

Yeah, i know of Adam NDJ

Me and him go WAY back. I remember that Brat when he 1st got it, and it was a DL
I will probably be comming up to Grants Pass to visit Tony, Adam and all them in Medford. When I do, i'd be willing to pickup the exhaust.

. So was mine. New radiator, new water pump, 160 thermostat, new oil pump and the aux. electric fan running 90% of the time and it still overheated. Becareful.

Well that's cool then, my brother wheels with Adam so it's no problem. I just remembered my buddy replaced the whole turbo that he had on his Rabbit, it's a hybrid EA82T hot side with my Legacy cold side. I don't think he has any plans for it, if not I'll throw it in with the exhaust if you want to run it.
My overheat problem was so bad I was just going to hack a big exhaust vent in the hood like an evo.

But it blew up before I got the chance.
