sweeeeet.......

The only thing is - i fux0red my lights :$
i need to grab a set of the lightbulb holder thingys.
Has anyone got the number off one of the lenses?

What i did -
Went to braxtons (second hand car light place). asked to poke thru their rubbish bins. Found a set of PLASTIC headlights for FREE.

Took my lenses off car.
Traced pattern.
Attacked plastic headlights with dremel - and cut the shape out, then sanded, etc the edges down to fit.

Now heres where i went wrong.
Got oven cranking, (as per instructions on web) and put lenses in. Ran off to get stopwatch - back a minute later and i have totally deformed entire lense & holder.
Then spent the next day with a heatgun - reforming the plastic to fit again.

Went to repco - got some orange bulbs (LED bulbs WILL NOT FIT)
And some silicon glue

Glued clear lenses to slightly deformed reflectors.
Screwed that up slightly as well.

But yea. looks nice from a distance
I just need to try again with some good lenses, and just dremel the orange off. or use heatgun rather than oven.

ok, I made up a few sets of the clears. The orange light came out great on a few, and they light pattern came out strange on a few. I also painted the outsides of a few black, and that turned out ok.

I have pics in another post.

nzkaosnz, if you need a set of the housings with the amber removed, I have a set.
