I agree with Scott, let them check out your car and then when you come back say howdy. Otherwise just pull up and introduce yourself, say you noticed a few subies and thought you'd check it out. If they're cool you'll be in, if they aren't cool, you'll know right away.

Edit : The ebrake and mullet throwing sounds pretty cool too though.

Yeah, just go up and talk to them. Usually they're pretty cool - and they're used to newcomers (that's the whole point to meet and hang out!)

But, they might be idiots in which case you just wander off again. No harm done - They were the ones that looked like idiots, you were the normal friendly guy.

Just bring some raw meet in your pocket to distract them in case they are about to pounce
