The reversed Leg. scoop has a problem---To smooth out the shape Bill used some epoxy which with the heat bubbled the paint. :?
This is being re done and Bill insists it's his fault.

I wired on the original one but it was lifting at speed which indicates that even with its low profile it is "scooping". The floating around bugged me so I took it off, but left the shroud on.

In eyeballing it, it is obvious that only some of the flow gets down the chimney, and including what flows around the chimney it builds pressure under the hood and aft of the rad. :?

This is not good with an fmic dumping heat through the rad. and condenser.

The main reason for the reversed scoop has been hopes that it would vent at speed, so this has been helped by drilling some 3/4 inch holes on the upper front side of the shroud.

When parked this is now venting a lot more heat, and the hood back of the scoop is not as hot as the front part, which suggests its venting when driving.

Going to drill some more holes :D Pics when finished.

In the meantime, the scoop looked a lot better when reversed and the whistling sound has ended. :-D
