Right on! Funny, I was just asking Will if you were going to make it. He can't, I guess, so will you be coming alone?

Good! I need another mouse pad!
MATT!!! I met the guy who came in 6th place at last years STPR! He runs a rally communications company and his company writes the directions that the co-drivers call out! Thought you might be interested. I gotta go next year.

Ya, free swag rules.
Really? You should get a job with him! That'd be awesome to follow the rally circuit.
You definitely need to come, it's an awesome time! A lot of the MIAC posse was there this last year too.

Possibly. My friend has done some work on his GTI so I am going to see if he wants to come or not. I am not for sure if he will come, so I will say I will most likely be coming alone.

Just so you know, the Shootout is a Subaru ONLY event. They don't allow others to run really (but they can come watch). They might for the last couple hours but sometimes they do and sometimes they don't.
This time we'll actually have the track rented and aaaaalllll to ourselves!

Really? That is awesome!!!!!!oneone
I don't think that he was going to come anyways. Evidently for him it would be like driving 4 hours just to go to a drag strip.
He is just not excited about seeing more than 3 turbo legs in the same place.
I just don't understand why not....

I got my wife a Sony DCRHC40 digi camcorder (got a super sweet deal through work) for her bithday, so I'll be showing my camera skillz here soon!
Either Saturday night after the Shootout or Sunday I have a major backroads cruise planned. We're going to hit everything from gravel to freshly paved tarmac. It's going to be sweet!
I was out at one of Scotts friends with him a while back and we came back the back way on a road I hadn't been on in about a year and now it's freshly paved and wicked smooth. It's a very fun road with some realy nice twisties. There's this one really long sweeping sharp turn that I might want to set up on and get shots of us coming through one at a time.
Hmm, I need a camera mount like Sam has.

you can have mine, I need to shore it up a bit but the video would be far more interesting in your car
actually camera mount 2.0 will come around soon, perhaps once I get back from visiting colleges this week I'll get to work on that

Grrr, I'm so bombed with crap! I'll try like hell to get the turbo crossmember in with the GC alloy control arms, Whiteline rack bushings, and new tie rods by then.

We could mount the camera to my dash board. I'm unsure if I will have a passenger seat in the car at the time of the shootout.
I gotta go get an alignment and see if I can stop the rubbing of the money tires. If not, we might have to get some Legacy Drift videos.

If you have the RE92's on it will just even the playing field.
My camera will probably have to stay in my car/hand. I got it for Jen and if something happens to it.....oooh.

Right now I am not all that sure if I will be able to make it or not. Money is getting pretty tight.

Oh, no! I hope you can find a way to pull it off. You'll be missed if you don't make it.

Court costs + repairs + buying a wagon + insurance, taxes, and fees = one angry dude.
Bummer.

Wait, what court costs + repairs + buying a wagon + repairs and all that other shit?

I have to put an exhaust on the wagon that i am currently driving plus court costs for a ticket, assured clear distance ( a long freakin BS story) and buying additional parts for the leggy as it goes into the body shop.

What wagon are you driving? What's wrong with the SS?

I got a winter beater, a 87 GL wagon 4wd. It's fun but is missing the mid pipe, so it is a bit loud and I hate the smell of exhaust fumes.
The legacy is getting the hood scoop cut in along with a new hood, fender, and bumper. But Atleast the front end will be perfect again.
There was an incident with an idiot driving a dodge truck who decided that it would be helarious to brake check me as i was merging into the left lane.
Yea. Even tho he was clearly a huge freakin douche, the cop sited me and the guy with very very minimal damage to his vehicle got off scott free.
She will be back and better than ever after I take her in.
Insurance is covering it all, (except for some odds and ends that I am having done to it) but I am still incredibly pissed.

I want an old Gl wagon really bad. I'd love to have one with maybe 3" lift and some burly tires. That'd be sick.

No, I've still never seen a SubieSport.
