Try another ECU. The ECU might be bad and isn't reading the MAP sensor or something.

At the F&S we tried swapping in a spare ECu in my car and this happened. It wasn't recognizing the MAP sensor signal so as soon as I went on boost the engine would cut out. Off boost it drove fine though and my MAP was fine too. Hooked my ECU back up and the problem went away.

yes it will. I've had the problems your describing, but it was because I had not hooked up the pressure sensor properly, have you got the valve from the charcoal canister in the right way? I dont' know I'm shooting at ducks who are flying at 10000 feet.

Hi people, just another update on my problems......
I have a friend who has a USDM 2.2L turbo with auto tranny that allow me to put my ECU into his car and after I plug the ECU to his car, the car start, runs and boost without any problem. Few minutes later, his car come out with an Check engine lights on.... it shows code#35 and it didn't happened on his own ECU before. ( he sure that he don't have any CEL before I put my ECU on)
Then I put back my ECU to my car and it shows 3 code.... remain the same 22,35 and 45.....
Will that be a problem on my ECU or should I replace a ECU is a must to solve this problem

Pleaes Keep input all your opinion ..... thanks

Why don't you try plugging his ecu into YOUR car. That will give you your answer as to wheather or not you need a new ecu.

Thanks for your advise Matt. I just worry about I will endup blow his ECU then I will have to buy 2 ECU instast of 1. So thats the reason why I put mine to his car.
Now I will try to put the Old TPS sensor back to the new engine and see what will it do.....

Update.....
Just put in an 91 Auto Turbo ECU on it and the car still ack like before..... that means its not the problem of the ECU.
Worst come toworst. my 4th gear just let go yesterday and now I am driving 1235 and R gear.....
I won't give up since I already spend so much money and time on the car and I have to find out whats the problem of the engine and will rebuild the tranny by DIY and let you guys know what will be to keep an eye on all those swap engine....
Are there anyone knows where can I get parts for the gear??

Wish me luck.

Hi People, just did another testing and it seems work and the problem seems solve....
It does affect by the coolant temp sensor.
The fix I did is put anthor Coolant temp. sensor not install it and just plug outside of the location. like run another set of wire with the sensor.
It seems working fine and my boost and fuel cut never happened for the whole afternoon....
I suspect its the problem of the Coolant temp. sensor before but after I put another one in and it still has problem (the one I put in is used from my last engine so it should be working fine....)
Now the other problem may happened.... if the coolant temp. sensor read it cold then the car will running rich.
Could I put some resister to make the fuel not running too Rich? I am not rich for gas so I have to find some solution to make the car runs well and not run too rich....

Again. thanks for all input and will wait for any solution for it....

Ben
